-
As stated several times before Depends are what you plan to use the air rifle for and what you plan to Shoot @ Lea Valley Ranges go out to 60 Metres Plus Which .177 can hit and reset - No possible with .22 as a Falling Shot will not reset knockover Targets BOB/R

As stated it's well known there is issues with Daystates and magazines As well covered on owners forum board Done large numbers of pellet tests using Daystate Gun's When involved in designing and making their Rangemaster Pellets @ Pax Gun's Can not believe that it's still a issue BOB/R

Well aware - offer Tuned Gun's - but all precharge Guns are AT Sealed Which means that they and other Dealers offering same Service can not do As Manufactures Do Not Supply Service Kits to Dealers Do keep a real good Stock and Selection of Gun's Issue with having Sent to another Dealer First Call with Warrenty Issues - has to be returned by purchasing Dealer means it has to be sent back to original Dealer @ Extra Costs With today's Carriage costs and restrictions Pay's to find a good local Dealer BOB/R

There are more and more Shooters looking for Vermin Shoots As more land get's built on and brought for future building Most Local Air Gun Clubs have Members that have sown up most Local Air Gun Shoots As with Shotgun Clay Shooting Grounds Also Land Groups are buying up land for future Building and finding it profitable to sell on Shooting rights So yes land is still being farmed - but farmers No longer have Shooting rights Gun Clubs are a good place to Shoot Socially and often get the Chance to assist another Shooter Also most Local or National owned Land is now hav

Check out the Phoenix Fast Fire Ten http://www.phoenixairguns.co.uk Used by a growing number of Vermin Control Shooters as packs down in it's own case Ideal for walking around through Public places Comes with different sized Air Bottles - Made in England - Chingford Might not be stocked in most Shops - but most good dealers can get them within Day's .177 or .22 Main Stockist is Pax Gun's - Full Range Stocked http://www.paxguns.co.uk If anywhere near Lea Valley Hertford on a Saturday - club day pop over and try one on club Ranges - http://www.lvagc.com Ops @ -
A Few more thoughts Associate of Pax Guns many years and often cover Shop Managers on Off Day's Re Stock be careful of items sold on Ebay - as often sold less than you can buy or worth selling for Especially Scopes as so many around - a Lesson that Chris retail manager has learn't over the years - Especailly as the often update range Issues with Accepting others sales - Carriage cost a fortune and often buyers expect Accepting Dealers to return faulty damaged goods As selling dealer is first point of Call As with pellets - which seem to rise with each New Delivery and wi

Running out of Air - is joy of owning a precharge without charging equipment Many Dive Shops have safety issues about filling Gun's as do some Shops If working out of Pump or Air Bottle - Bottle lasts a lifetime if Steel and does not get mosture in it when pumping And around the same outlay Also most Clubs offer Air to Members users - Do not forget to put charging valeve in Gun bag as there is several different ones Aware as we have a Large numbers of HW100's on the Ranges @ Lea Valley Yes I do own a HW100 Bar Custom in .177 BOB/R

Been around for many years And have a good Customer Relations Set up Many used by Competition Shooters and Club Members Made to Customers specifications as they listen to Shooters Feedback Also found at most Air Gun Shows supporting Daystate Air Gun's BOB/R

Check out Air Gun Clubs as most Local Vermin Shoots have be covered by Club Members over the years Seen many posts by Shooters in your Area Trouble is much of the Land now belongs to Property Groups who sell on Shooting rights to Full bore Shooters I have had several New Shooters coming along to my Club - who have joined some of my Members - when they believe they are good enough Shots and Safe to shoot with them Also because of Growing Health and Safety Issues many Large Grounds / Golf Courses etc now require Professional Shooter / trappers. becomming an spring airgun tuner?
clubshot replied to ian118118's topic in General Airgun Discussion
We have several good Air Gunsmiths @ my Club Lea Valley They started by working on their guns and assisting other Members None make a living due to restrictions - RFD and servicing customers But do to help cover their own costs Not aware of any Air Gun Smith trainning courses - Aware some started when working in Gun Shops and moved onto servicing in house work Very Few Air Gun Gunsmiths I would trust my Gun's to - Also with Springers there are several Kits that Allow owners to do the work without the need to use Gunsmiths BOB/R -
Calibre Depends on what and where you shoot these day's Pellet Damage depends on what pellets used Shooting @ a Club with Ranges out to 60 Metres - .177 is king Especially with knockover targets / resets I mainly Hunt with .177 in my Phoenix Mark Two or HW100 We all have to start somewhere - Lucky for me I started Air Guns when in a good job with no Mrs & Kids Big issue as more get into Air Gun's the amount of possible Land Vermin Control work get's lost -through Land Building - population increases As often state - thinking of starting Air Gun Shooting -
-
Which Calibre ? Defiant 5.52's take some beating @ 14.00 Grains they really fly flater and really hit home hard Do a 4.52 @ 7.50 Grains in .177 BOB/R
-
Many Shooters are not aware that most Scopes have Rear Eye Adjustment Also set their scopes far to close to eye - Would be interesting if a powder Burner - Again it comes back to experience - BOB/R
-
Trouble with .20 Calibre is that several manufactures made Barrels Resulting in need for different Head sizes But manufactures made heavier .177's which rather kill .20 Air Calibre BOB/R

http://www.airarmsownersclub.com/ Might be able to give more advise Alway's read where others have discussed it easier to sell original gun and by another Not forgetting that VCR Bill stops you buying barrel etc from anyone elese than a RFD Dealer BOB/R -

pump or dive tank ????
clubshot replied to SEAN3513's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Pump not only a issue of fittness But end getting hot when pumping - which results in moisture And possible explosions Reason Pumps with Filters cost more than Air bottles Steel bottles last a life Time if looked after BOB/R -
You are not going to get a Value Air Gun for around £100.00 New or 2nd Hand Save for another month or two You might get a bottom of the wrung SMK Break Action - but you will regret it later Air Gun's have more working part's than Shotgun's BOB/R
-
Not forgetting Defiants also do a .177 FAC Pellet @ 15.00 Grains - Boxed in 600's BOB/R
-
Plenty of UK Defiant 18's in .22 - known to work in Air Arms @ £13.00 UK Posted for 500 http://www.defiantpellets.com BOB/R

Funding has my vote Also lack of Ranges and cost of meeting requirements BOB/R
