  2. well said subaruwilly you tell them very unfortunate u lost ur legbut nice to see u still go hunting it didnt kill the spirit of hunting and the best way to go lamping and get more game is in veichels !!! one of the nights last february ( when over in ireland so please dont delete this thread) we had 10 foxes in the night with the dogs from the motor, now you show me a man who could walk out lamping in feb and get the same amount, it`s highly unlikely but it dont make us better hunters or we haven`t got better dogs, the fact of it is we are covering alot more ground than somebody who is wa
  3. This is to all the people who are slagging the lads off who drive the fields. Unfortunately i find myself in a situation where i cant walk around the fields lamping as i lost my leg in an accident at work last year but what i can do is get around by vehicle and it would break my heart to not be able to see my dogs run anymore so what do you suggest lads ? should i stay in the house and rot away or get out there and watch my dogs doing what they do best from the motor ? or maybe one of the lads slaggin us off would like to volunteer to piggy back/donkey ride a one legged 20 stone bloke round wi
  4. that certain brian was definately well known............for bullshitting, but i'm glad you liked the storys.... :11: lol iam not into fairytales mate i just read books an broaden my mind about what iam into, of course things may get dramatised here and there but on the whole you carnt knock the guy he aint gonna right books with names of people he assosiated with and fill them full of bullshit mate, and his blood lines are still going, he hunted fox for the pelts to sell so he needed a dog to do the job quickly and cleanly with minimum damage to it, the collie grey did the job for him and

  6. highly likely to be a fallow mate, get some real dark coloured ones in certain areas
  7. I would agree. I have very little experience with cops in GB but I would imagine that they are not that different from the ones over here, and here they won't do anything unless they have to, or if they are paid to. We have to catch the thieves on video, then threaten the cops that we will go to the media in order to motivate the police. Since some people seem to be hesitant to put themselves in the way, perhaps setting a trap, like Symon suggested, with video surveillance is the way to go??? Just an idea of something that works here. there f**king useless.iv had several dogs nicked,e

I just want to say a massive thankyou to Jonathan Darcy for sending me his latest book free of charge, i am slowly getting over my accident, and this excellent book has helped me pass time and chill out when i`ve been getting frustrated with myself at not being very mobile, it`s an excellent read, with first class picture`s and will appeal to not just terriermen but anybody into fieldsports, thanks Again for your kindness JD and good luck with selling the book not that you`ll need it as its absolutely spot on mate
  13. i wouldn`t worry about it if i were you mate, the 2 species are totally different, he may have even, become familiarised with cats walking past his pen etc, try it again on foxes and i`ll bet my bollox it kills next one as sweet as it has the last 4, and if it jacks, it jacks, there aint a thing you can do about it, some dogs are never destined to make it, i wish i had a quid for everyone i`ve seen spew i`d have more money than that jonathan darcy bloke!!!!!!! and where`s my book JD ??? i`m bored to friggin tears i need a good read mate
  14. it looks like a lot of different people have alot of different opinions on this but in my opinion alot of it depends on the age and condition of the deer and the terrain it`s running on, i have seen all the species of deer run and like everything else you get good ones and poor ones but to be honest the majority of the ones that stand out in my memory are mainly roe i`ve seen it loads of times where good first class deer dogs have never even managed to put a bend in on them they`ve made the dogs look silly
