    jobs

Used to work on a farm , im now doing bird control with falcons on landfill for more money and a hell of a lot less hours
  2. Hasnt worked , i can never get pics up on here . It was under 200k aswell
  3. wats her speed like neil r ? Shes pretty quick especially the initial burst of speed , but my lurcher can catch her up and leave her behind easily , he is lightning fast though. Shes only for ferreting though so the early speed and speed of reaction is perfect for the job . Ill try and put a pic i took a few months ago up , dont know if it will work though
  4. Ive got one of his thats about 10 months old and out of his bitch , bess. Shes been sound with the ferrets and livestock but retrieving can be hit and miss , thats probably more my fault than the dogs though. If i can sort it out ill put some pics up later
  5. What kind of fishing were they doing . The rivers are closed for coarse fishing but the trout season starts at the end of the coarse season. No doubt some people carry on though because they are unaware of the seasons or dont care and some bend the rules by claiming to be trout fishing with worms. Either way the notion that the fish are left undisturbed to breed is not strictly true , the game fishermen still catch them by accident and also some fish breed later in the year when the coarse seasons started again anyway
  6. As above , just google the hunting life and it comes straight up . You might struggle to get on though if your on the rubbish orange network , its orange safeguard wont let you view the site

    flat cap

I got an hoggs dunkeld for £11.95 from carrs billington a couple of weeks back . It looks smart and its waterproof and breathable . They do another one called the crofter which looks alright aswell
  8. not it hsan't there are plenty of sites which still have them, i have 2 myself and there great knives. opinels are god cheap knives too. also if your after a folding knife field and stream do really great knives for the money. Yes it has . They might still have them in stock at some shops but there wont be any more once they have sold them , they have replaced them with different models . Your right though , they are good knives . Edited to add ,i paid twice as much for the triflex because the bloke in the shop told me they were discontinued (replaced by the bushcraft , force and another o
  9. I use an helle ny fjording but ive also got a mora triflex as a back up aswell . If you want a good blade thats super cheap have a look at clas ohlson , they do the mora viking for £2.50. You could pay a lot more for a lot worse than a mora . The mora clipper as been discontinued though , so if you find somewhere that has some in stock it would be worth picking a few up
  10. Agouti does spun poly net making kits . Hes good to deal with and the delivery is quick aswell
  11. Yes the tenner would have come off the pup but he still wouldnt talk about them till he had got it , once he had it he spent a long time talking to my mate . If hes not normally like that , maybe he`d had a bad day or something. I have nothing against him and dont care what he wants to charge people . The only thing that does puzzle me though is the 2 photos showing different dogs with the same catch , unless the rabbits had identical twins , or is that a crock of shit aswell
  12. I do it by boiling a pan of water and putting the part of the stick which needs straightning over the pan and covering the the top with a towel and leaving it on the boil for 5 - 10 minutes . Once its soft bend it how you want it , if you need more straightning just repeat it till you get it how you want it . Another way is to get a length of drain pipe , block one end and use a wallpaper steamer (minus the end piece). Put the the stick in the drainpipe , then the pipe off the steamer and seal it with a towel or similar and leave it for 5 - 10 minutes and bend it where ever you think it needs
  13. Its a lot cheaper here. http://www.clasohlson.co.uk/product/category.aspx?category=hand+tools:knives%2fsharpening+stones&id=88168443&_path=251882;85177593;85216374;88168443 . They have very good blades for the money , dont know how mora can make them for the price they sell them at
  14. 2nd line Meg and 3rd line Molly click on the both and compare Y.I.S Leeview He might have thought no one would notice . My mate rang him when he was after a pup a few months back and he wouldnt talk about the pups until my mate sent him a tenner first
  15. My dogs just under 27tts and has no problem with rabbits . Hes a fast dog and very quick off the mark so small fields are not a problem either
  16. Todays karrimor boots are total rubbish compared to the old ones when they where based near accrington
  17. Ive just seen it on there . They should name the tackle shop so the local pikers no which one to avoid
  18. I use these ones http://www.clearlake.co.uk/feltons/detail.asp?ID=814 not had wet or cold feet yet
  19. What kind of knob uses a gaff these days . Stick the picture up on the p+p forum someone will know the water if not the people. They probably the kind of dullards who think pike eat every single fish unless they are wiped out and they are the reason they struggle to catch
  20. I still use shavings in mine , i get the big bales from wolfenden or sherfins for £6.50 to £7 and they last 3 or 4 weeks
  21. Not the cheapest but top quality. http://www.dlst.co.uk/baitrods.html

  23. It looks like it might be the work of kids. One of the other lads on the pens saw some kids on there and tried to ring the chris to tell him but couldnt get hold of him. He managed to recover the white gill after they dropped it , the sandys still missing though.
  24. My mates just rang me and told me 2 of his ferrets haved been nicked off his pen . They are a very small sandy gill and a small white gill (one of this years off the sandy one). They were nicked from Accrington so if anyone in the area hears of any being offered for sale can you pm me please
