  1. Is this the bloke , dont know if the link will work ,if it doesnt search youtube for sniper sergeant craig harrison . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ooaummFPDA
  2. Is anybody a member of ryburn and halifax anglers or hebdon bridge anglers , Im going to join one of them but dont know which one has the better fishing . Ive looked for info on heben bridge anglers but cant find anything about what stretches they have or where they are . Its mainly the rivers hebdon and calder im intrested in for fly fishing for trout and grayling .
  3. They are taller . Ive had mine for about 18 months and they are still going strong . When it comes time to replace them ill be going for the same again.
  4. wish I'd not bothered staying up for that , totally one sided . Fury did what he needed to do but chisora was a let down
  5. 2x 2-3/4lb Harrison jazz rods , 2x shimano navi big pits , 2x purple delkim ev's with snag ear conversions , 2x Nash siren s5's , 2x matrix innovations dinky hothead hangers , 2x fox slix hangers and spare chains and weights , cygnet snugs buzz bars , cygnet bank sticks , vision kashkym 1man bivvy and overwrap , vision windtex bedchair cover , jrc cocoon exel bedchair , Nash chair , Nash h gun net , korum eva stink bag , nash elevator deluxe cradle , vision floatation weigh sling , reuben heaton 120lb gigantica scales , cygnet weigh bar , jack pyke real tree carryall , trakker jakal quiver .
  6. Mine were the Esk and the lad I worked with had the Tay ones which were just as bad . I remember reading on a fishing forum a few years back that muc boots failed some kind of safety grip test over in the states .
  7. Don't know if they are the biggest but AFW do some 4/0 ones that are 350lb rated. The shop rok-max do some sampo ones with an higher breaking strain but don't know what the size is
  8. Paul blackledge used to have a stuffed ginger one in his back room
  9. Mine lasted 4 months on the farm before I binned them . They are comfy but the grip was rubbish on wet concrete around the yard and once they had worn a bit they were just as bad in the fields
  10. I'll be ultra lighting for chub and perch aswell and my usual barbel fishing
  11. F - flys did well for me last season on the rivers . klinkhammers are also worth using . I don't use wets or nymphs if I can help it but the spider patterns and hares ears caught me fish when I had to use them
  12. I had a go on the canal a few years back and caught on flys I'd knocked up with tinsel off the Christmas tree . Didn't get anything of any size but I did catch . It's not really any different to lure fishing in that if you put a fly or lure in front of a pikes nose they will more often than not just react and take it rather than think about it .
  13. Yes still got the gear . Where abouts are you based and what model delks are they
  14. Im looking to swap a like new drennan silverfish 13ft float rod and ready rod sleeve , shimano exage 3000sfd reel and daiwa 125m closed faced reel plus bait smock , landing net and a bit of terminal tackle for a pair of either delkim ev's or pluses or maybe steve nevilles . Either pick up from accrington or I could deliver/meet depending on distance
  15. I only use floating lines as 90% of my fly fishing is dry fly . I use the cortland 444 peach floater in 5 weight for rivers and small stillwaters and 7 weight for bigger waters . I also use a greys platinum 3 weight on brooks but its not as good as the cortland 444
  16. I dont know why more shops dont sell them , its not like they are any more expensive than the cheap and nasty shads most shops sell . Anybody looking for a good range of soft plastics should have a look at AGM products and lure world (who also do mikado fishunters) . Manns action shads from soveriegn superbaits are also good in all sizes
  17. Anything with yellow will be good for perch . Another cheap soft plastic to to try is the relax kopyto shad . They might look like just another shad but they are very soft and have a top action . Ive had loads of perch and pike on the yellow and the white ones
  18. the ibf have ordered a rematch within 90 days
  19. Ive used them and maxi mingers and caught on them everywhere i tried them .The minis are very small , only about 3in long and 27 gram so they are ok on shallow venues but if your fishing deep water a springdawg or bulldawg size lure will be a better bet .The pike shop sell some dawg copys that are cheap but decent quality . My favourite dawg copy was the now discontinued fox shallow devient , if you can find any of them they are well worth getting.
