Does anyone know of any day ticket stretches on the Coventry canal (or any other in that area) that have zander in . I'm going to have a go next week with the lures but not too sure who controls the fishing down there

Just had a couple of hours trying to catch carp off the top on the fly , pulled out of a good one but couldn't draw the others out from the shade under the lilies. We ended up getting loads of roach , perch , gudgeon , skimmers and tench on the good old blue bottle nymph on the 4 weight

Not a fan of mayweather but if fighters like Hatton , paquio , de la Hoya and the rest couldn't do it then I can't see how a novice like macgregor has any sort of chance , not even a punchers chance .

Some like the 4 play's in all their guises have been good but particularly the swim and jerk and also the 16 cm belly up and deviator have also been alright . The real eels have had a few fish but more follows and missed hits than converted takes and same with the rat . The build quality is not what it used to be either and the hard eel seems to get the most complaints with splits at the back where the tail section goes in .

2005 Hyundai Tucson , rubbish on fuel but everything works on it and it's surprisingly quick but I'm toying with the idea of a vw transporter later this year

For soft plastics you can't go wrong with 2&2.5 inch kopytos in yellow and white ( colour code 055 & 001) . Big bite crappie thumpers and crazy fish minnows in the 1.6 - 3inch size range . For hard baits salmo tiny and lil bugs , Hester tackle carp in the roach , crucian and perch patterns , yo zuri aile goby and matzou nano cranks are all good baits

Looks like they are supplying the extension wire with them now , at least in the states and Australia from the videos I've just seen . I've not had my hands on the smaller ones so I'm not sure what the hook ups are like with them . If you're on the look out for other duck and rats , spro do some nice looking rats and westin do a duck imitation.

Looks like savage have listened to Phil blakley about the improved hook up mod and supplied the newer ones with the rod . I'll give mine another go this week if I get time and see if I can get one

Not had nothing on the suicide ducks yet but others are having plenty of hits but not hooking up so they are modding the hook placement by using a stainless wire on the rear treble to move it further back . I've caught on the rat but I've had move missed hookups than fish on the bank because I think the body masks the hook a bit too much so im going to up the hook size to try and make it easier to hook up .

I'll be on the ribble aswell after barbel but I'm still fishing it now for trout and salmon . If you want a good day on the float have a look at the deeps , it's one a chuck for roach and dace and some good ones aswell plus you'll get chub , perch and barbel too . If you look on Shakespeare's YouTube channel there's a couple of vids filmed on the stretch , its free fishing aswell

I made an effort to get on with the mrs mates when I first got together with her only for her to accuse me of trying it on with them so lesson learned I don't make any effort at all to be friendly . I now get it in the neck for not making them feel welcome, just can't win with the fckin loon

For trout and perch you want to be using a rod with a casting weight in something like the 0.5-7 gram range and think Japanese brands like Sakura and majorcraft rather than the usual fox - drennan stuff you see in most shops . If you go in a shop and they try to tell you that you need something heavier like 5-20 gram rod give them a swerve because they won't have any lighter in stock and will try palming you off with something that's to heavy just to get a sale . Reel wise , a front drag reel in the 1000-2500 range is more than enough and braid in the 6-10lb range is spot on . Spinners are eas -

I'd love to move somewhere else but the Mrs won't even move out of Accrington never mind another country . If I had the choice it would have to be America or Canada , not just for the fishing and hunting but the general sense of space and freedom. Unfortunately neither of them will let me in so I'm stuck here for now .

Every time I've had my dogs at the vets they go on about getting them castrated , every time without fail . When I took my terrier for his injections as an 8week old pup the vet said he would need castrating because one of his bollocks hadn't dropped yet and she couldn't feel it . I've worked on farms for years so I had a feel myself and it was there (and did drop not long after) . She must have got me confused with the average gullible pet owner who didn't know any different and thought they could rinse me

I keep getting told off the lad I got mine off that they will come back on but I think that's it finished now and it won't be long before they are all gone . If you look on techkings there's a list of the channels missing and they say they are working on it but it's been a while now . My Mrs son has a different kind of box that still has everything plus its all in hd . He was meant to be round yesterday with a box to show me it working but I missed him so he's coming back on Sunday , if it's as good as he says I'll be getting one of them instead

No reputable british grow shop will answer questions on anything relating to illegal use of their equipment,thats a fact and not just because its on a THL thread,Hydro shop owners don't want to go to nick,wouldnt be the first time one has been prosecuted and imprisoned for giving grow advice to someone who just wanders into a shop and asks about growing illegal plants,i used to supply hydro shops with equipment I imported,i still have my finger on the pulse,still got friends in the equipment industry,reputable ones wont risk their liberty or livelihood discussing illegalities If I remember rig

I bought some jig heads recently that had a warning on the packet saying that they may contain hooks and they were not for human consumption. I'd have sent them back if there were no hooks on them and why they feel the need to warn people not to eat a lead ball with a big hook stuck in it is a mystery.

I think it's an old fish that's been a lot bigger . The head and shoulders are massive on it and the mouth was huge . My mate was over the moon , he's a new member and only ever carp fished before . He was starting to get downhearted and thinking he would blank and then about 2 o clock his tip wrapped round . He couldn't get over how hard it was fighting and was convinced it was a bigger fish till he saw it . He's hooked on barbel now though

Went on the ribble earlier on with a mate trying to get him his first barbel before the season ends . I had a couple of chub and this 10.10 on boilie and my mate had a 5.6 not long after .

I recorded it and had a quick look before I went out this morning and I thought the same as you . He looks very ordinary and easy to hit and his power looks to come mainly from wild swinging punches . I've never really watched him before other than the ko clips on sky after his fights so don't know if he's normally like that but he wasn't that impressive

Got picked up twice after 2 muppets said I'd threatened to shoot them also got picked up for a post office job just because I knew the bloke that did it . Never got charged with any of them because there was absolutely no evidence or witnesses to the first 2 despite them telling me there was . They never even interviewed me and wouldn't let me see a brief for a day and a half then just realeased me . They didn't charge me for the post office either because I had a cast iron alibi and the bloke who did it held his hands up and told them I had nothing to do with it .
