How big is Schwarz , I know he’s tall but he didn’t look that big so I had a quick look and the 2 places I looked both said he only weighs 200lb . Surely that’s got to be a wrong because that’s only 14st 4lb ish which can’t be far from being a cruiserweight . I don’t follow boxing like I used to and I’d not heard of him before so has he stepped up from cruiser to heavyweight or is he just a really small heavyweight or is it just a misprint on the pages I looked at . Edited to add I’ve just gone through some more articles and one said he weighs 241lb which makes more sense

No idea which apps work but its not just yellow ones to look out for anymore , the sneaky cnuts are using ones painted light -mid blue colours to look like utilities vans now around here and I assume around the rest of the country aswell

??. Just text my mate and it wasn’t one of the lines I thought , it was one these https://www.fishingmegastore.com/fly-lines/cortland-trout-series-ultralight-floating-fly-line~54212.html

No worries . Them Norris rods get some good reviews and I’m pretty sure the new range are made by guideline for them . You won’t go far wrong with Cortland , they make good lines , I used to use the 444 peach floaters but the sylk is probably the one to go for . I’ve got a scientific anglers #3 but can’t remember which model that’s not bad . I overline a little 6ft #2 with it for small streams and it behaves well . Got one of the older greys heron grey platinums somewhere aswell in #3 but although it’s supple i just didn’t like the line . My mates just bought some new cortlands for the rivers

I tend to use different set ups for trout and salmon but if I do need to use a single hander for salmon I just use my guideline pike line but if I needed to cover trout aswell I’d have a look at Guideline’s forecast , I use one for seatrout and also on bigger res’s and it’s pretty good line , casts well and is supple . Have a look on John norris’s website , there’s loads on there and if you don’t want to spend a lot on the guidelines then some of norris’s own lines are not too bad . I bought one of their scandi lines just out of curiosity when I was trying to get a line that worked on a Bruce

Have a look at the snowbee thistledown , ive got a couple of them and it’s the only line I use on the river for brownies and grayling . My mate uses a cortland sylk and that’s a good line aswell

Dominant performance from spence from start to finish over a 4 weight world champion . 120-107 . 120-108 and 120-108 , I thought he’d win but not as easily as he did

I use a 450 grain Rio skagit on my switch rod for most of my salmon fishing on the ribble . Keep saying I’m going to try one of the 150 grain opst skagits on one of my #3 but not got round to it yet , think it was angling active in Stirling who were doing them

Don’t think wilder wants to fight Joshua , one minute he accepts 15m but not the fight because there was no venue , now there’s a venue and date he won’t accept double what he made for the fury fight plus extras from the ppv and says that he won’t fight Joshua . Fury said on his own Twitter account that he wants 60/40 in his favour to fight Joshua so if he’s a man of his word how do you get past that . There’s not much time left to sort a fight for the April Wembley date and I think wilder will do what he normally does and wait till Joshua has no choice but to sign to fight with someone else t

Just seen a tackle and guns press release saying that fishing republic have now gone into administration
-
Be careful with fishing republic , they are on the verge of going under unless they can get emergency funding

Have a look at John Norris’s website. If you’re not looking to spend loads have a look at the Shakespeare sigma and agility ranges , think they do full set ups aswell but if not they deffo do the rods . You can get budget lines for a fiver but I’d rather spend a bit more on a decent line and a bit less on a reel because for trout fishing the reel will be little more than a line holder but a bad line that’s like a coiled spring will frustrate you and ruin your fishing. Cortland , guideline and Rio are decent lines but can be dear but the snowbee classic is a reasonable line that’s not too exp

For ultralights I use a 7ft , 0.7-7gram Sakura sportism with a 2500 size shimano aernos with 10lb power pro depth hunter braid . For traces it will be 12lb knot2kinky titanium wire with most lures but if I’m using something really small like the crazy fish whitebaits or ballzy worms or 1 inch kopytos it will be 4lb guru nguage
-
If you want to try some really small soft plastics for silvers and perch have a look at crazy fish whitebaits . They are only 3/4 inch long and you’ll need an half gram size 12 jig head or a size 10 big eye hook with a small fly tying bead on the line in front . You can see the roach hitting them as they fall through the shoal . Ballzy worms are another similar type bait that catch silvers aswell
-
Bobco do kopytos but according to their website they are out of stock . They do have one colour in Sakura split shads that is worth getting and they have some nice looking gunki lures and I think they stock zman aswell
-
Relax kopyto’s in 001(white) and 055(yellow) colours are a must have . I use them in in sizes from 1-2.5 inch , jig heads are agm , ecogear and TT from an 10-1 . Got them in in other colours aswell but I’ve found the white and yellow are the most effective and I can’t be alone because they are always the ones that sell out first . Other soft plastics to look at are crazy fish nano minnows , zman slim shads , Orka mermaids and orka twister tails . You can get everything apart from I think the zman from Agm products and lureworld . Be warned though , you’ll end up spending a fortune once you go

Not yet , ive been putting it off because I’ve got an hand injury so it will be probably another week or so before I get up there . What it’s like for losing tackle , is it rough or clean ground
-
Looks like it’s not happening now . Mayweather is now claiming he hasn’t agreed to fight him and only agreed to a non televised fight for wealthy businessmen against an unspecified opponent and that he’d never heard of the lad till he got to japan . If he was as clueless as he’s trying to make out what were the press conferences for . Probably seen the kids fights now and changed his mind

Anyone know anything about fishing Whitehaven pier , I’m up that way either at the end of the week or next week and thinking of having a go weather and time permitting . Also is there somewhere to get fresh bait from locally

I was with Hastings for a couple of years with my car insurance until I got a renewal quote through the post that had pretty much doubled it to over £800 . I went on the comparison sites and Hastings themselves gave the best quote that was near enough what I was already paying so I rang them and told them I was not accepting the 800 quote because they had quoted half that on the comparison site . The bloke on the phone said I’ll see what I can do and came back with £650 and was genuinely surprised when I said no because you’ve already quoted 420 online. I could have just gone through the onlin

My mate didn’t get home in time so I had a few shots in the yard and just pulling to my ear instead of the corner of my mouth made a big difference. First hit on a soup tin and the 9.5 steel went through one side instead of just dinting it . I’m not keen on the shape of the frame though . Even though I’ve got big hands it just doesn’t feel comfortable. I put some bands on an old natural I had from years ago and it just felt better and I was more accurate with it so I’ll just crack on with that if I can’t get used to the other frame
-
I got a tape and held it over the forks and measured the draw then I think it was divided by 5 or 5.5 to get the band length like I’ve seen on videos . I’m off up to my mates for a mess about with it in a few minutes so I’ll see how it compares to his with the same bands .

I got a frame given a few weeks ago and the lad recommended single gzk bands for it so I ordered some .80 25-20 green and white stuff and trying it out it doesn’t seem that powerful . I used to use double and even triple bands and 12mm lead the last time I messed about with cattys and they did some damage when they hit so I tried a couple of 12mm leads that I had left on an empty soup tin and from about 25 ft the lead put dint in it and a bit of a split in the side but didn’t penetrate it . I also tried 9.5 steel and although it seemed to get there faster they only put a dint in it . It’s a w
