    i know some packs that have good hunting with 6 hounds and others use 40 odd but it depends on the country you hunt and how much land you have to use ,if you have large blocks of woodland you tend to use more hounds , I have most of my good days with a private pack of between 20 to 30 hounds , and some seasons 6 pups to enter that season some seasons 15 or so , the large blocks of soft wood take some flushing to get a fox out of so use more hounds , hope you have a good season oggy

    with the weather cooler this winter than at almost any time last year , is every body getting better scent and hunting than at any time last year ??? or is it just patchy some good some not so ???

    I would put money on it that if you can catch this hound and it spends the rest of the winter with other hounds it will be biddable in time for hunting next season , it will take time ,care and handling if it can be caught that is , good luck, pity I am not closer I have had beagles for years and some are very timid ,take time and food,, hope for a good out come

    hi the answer is yes,i know of a worker who if hungover would drop coke can ring pulls in the grass so he did not have to do much till his head cleared ????i will add he has no worries in that department now ,he was seen to drop them by a farmer who was paying by the hour !!!

    hi go and see your local fishmonger use all the heads and guts , it stinks, pulls them in ,i have also shot over fish guts spread over a bank to shoot a lamp shy fox !!!!!

    hi i used to work in fish prosessing plant (small shed on farm) they had on order cancled because of a test result wrong and we fed it to our pack of beagles till we had some skin probs spoke to vet he said it happens when fed too much fish !!!!

    there is a lot turning up in west wales, a mate of mine shot 2 in 3 weeks which have been castrated but not fresh scars !!!!

    try makeing two eyes at the back of the cage so as the buzz look in they look back , i made mine out of white plastic from a 25 litre drum with a felt marker to make the eyes it does not stop all of them but stops large numbers a.t.b. oggy
