  1. well our little lad who is just 20months old is called SPIKE and we love it. my mother was horrified, but we think it is great
  2. thank you for your kind offer, he isn't actually our son, just a young lad who beats on my husbands shoot with his dad. i do have a paypal account but have only used it for paying ebay wins!! i will have to look into how to sort it out. as a parent who nearly lost her own baby last year my heart just goes out to him. he lives and breathes hunting and has been so brave. his chances are slim and we will no in 9 months whether he has any chance at all but they have said "slim". he phones us every day to speak to my husband and it is heart breaking, we just want to give him something to help
  3. Hi, firstly I no that i am posting this on the wrong section but having posted it on the right section i only got one reply and we are seeking help from fellow hunters and parents. we have a young lad of just 13 years of age that beats on my husbands shoot who just 8 weeks ago developed a lump on his leg, last week he was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer that is now in his brain and lungs, he has started chemo therapy and facing a very tough few months. he will be missing at least 9 months of school and facing virtual isolation. we are looking for a decent second hand psp console for
  4. we had the same problem with our daughter, passed her test at 17 brought her a lovely suzuki jimny but the insurance for third party fire and theft was £1100 that was with diamond car insurance we added both myself and hubby which improved the quote and they do a 10 month accelerator scheme where she will gain her first years no claims in just 10 months however this comes round very quickly we then got the renewal notice through and the premium had not hardly been reduced so we went back online and found that exactly the same company was quoting just £700 fully comprehensive!!! when we

    Jobs

  6. there are millions of undiagnosed diabetics. for years i worked as a practice nurse and ran a clinic for both type 1 and type 2 diabetics, basically it is just a healthy lifestyle infact if we all followed the recommended diet for diabetics we would all be very healthy. just make sure that you follow the advise as it can lead to type 1 diabetes. as for monitoring you should be referred to a clinic who will supply you with a blood glucose monitor and diary. you should also have regular hba1c blood tests approximately every 3 months initially which will give an average blood sugar reading. go

    dog bites

as a nurse and midwife my advise would be to clean it immediately, go see your gp first as it would probably be quicker, get a course of anti biotics to cover yourself as for tetanus injections you may find that they won't give you one as the new directive is that if you have had three injections over the course of your lifetime them you are fully covered for life and many areas are following this. most of our kids have them injections within the first few years of life with a final one at about the age of 15 so good luck
  8. you may find that it was the background colour. apparently they have just changed it and a lot of shops/booths are having problems getting the correct shade. just a thought as my daughter had the same problem, and also a young lad that we no.
  9. well as a midwife i can assure you that this is not an isolated case, children having children is becoming a problem in society today there are many young girls having terminations as well unfortunately many see it as the only way of getting housing so actively seek to get pregnant at 15-16, more often then not they are placed into teenage mums homes for upto 6 months then they get the house, and before you no it another lad moves in and another baby is on the way. the parents are foolish, but feel for them babies, what chance to they stand and we no that them children will almost de
  10. I'm a midwife, i'm sure that there is a rude response somewhere but it hasn't come to me yet
  11. pity some of you tradesmen don't live in west sussex, we have been looking for good trademen to finish our extension finally got plumber round yesterday for C A S H quote and he can't touch for another 6 weeks feel like we are living in a shed and no fun with 2 blind kids and one baby who has not long come out of great ormond street having nearly died!!!
  12. Seriously .Keepers' spouses are a great lot in general. Who else would put up with a succession of smelly dogs & teams of smelly people hogging the fire in a cloud of steam after a day or nightout in the rain . The muddy foot-ware ,irregular mealtimes , the obligatory kettle boiling regardless of the hour, the second-hand stress ,fur ,feathers ,blood, sweat and ....... i think that you have to be a bloody saint to be married to a keeper, after 24 years of marriage, and 5 kids later i can honestly say that i wouldn't do the job for the money. the hours are horrendous, the pay
  13. not much chance of him getting under my feet, now the ferritin starts, and the pigeon shooting, and all the other vermin control come to think about it, is there a season?? just means that he will only be working until he is bored or remembers where he lives
  14. survived another divorce season more commonly known as the shooting season, oh the joys of being married to a keeper
  15. would love them, have 3 girls all doing agriculture with size 6 feet, have pm'd you. thanks
