-
thanks for that rob. that is cheap, might stock up on a few of them . cheers mate . i fitted an adjustable pad on my first one and have not found the need ta alter it at all, maybe a waste a money if the stock is made to suit the person .

thanks all again for good responce. these stocks take in excess of 30 hours i would say . nearly all the carving is done by hand , just the way i like ta work. i still working on one i got here for a s410 . anyone serious about wanting me ta make a stock i can do it but if it is not a s410 then i would need the action of the gun for a few weeks . already getting a lot of interest through pm,s so if you are serious please pm me and i,ll get back to you but i,m afraid i only do this in me spare time so there will be a wait but i think i can tailor to whatever you would like done. i am going to

think this depends whether you value the action of the gun itself. ta make a good stock you looking at 30 hours plus . and then purchasing the timber. only your mate can weigh it up if the gun is worth it . hear they nice guns though i have never had a go with one.

i havent sold one yet , i can say i have had a couple of good offers for me first one and going by that i reckon around the 160-200 mark , bearing in mind how much a nice piece of walnut is ta buy it is not a lot a oney for the time it takes. what does everyone else reckon Bloody hell thats cheap, any chance you could do one for a hw90 gas ram? trouble is i aint got the guns here to make em for the inletting. if anyone wants one for any gun as long as they live close enough so i can have a good look at action or if i could keep hold of it for a week or 2 then no probs.i only have an s410

had a day off work again on tuesday so went out about 2.15 ta me fav sitty tree, been here on the weekend and had 10 woodies so i knew this was a good place. only stayed till around 4.45 and had 9 woodies all head shots aprt from one which was a bit low, neck shot still a clean kill. just took the picture and bagging pigeons up when one lone pigeon landed about 35 yards away on outset of wood. could just make out his head so went for it , another clean head shot to make the bag to 10 again. heres a pic,

thanks verminator. me mates choice. he didnt wanna spend the 20 for a butt pad so i ordered a small sheet of aluminium and fabricted one up with a piece of iroko inbetween. looks nice and does the job for next ta nothing , just a little more of my time. lol
-
hia, thanks mate. i would invest in a dremmel and some burr bits . and the best tools i like using when your getting down to finishing is a set of cabinet scrapers, these are lovely to use , they take just a little wood away and leave very little sanding to do after, good luck with yours matey .

theres an idea, ha ha . never know i may beable ta get me hands on one for a little while .
-
cheers mate. i know the inletting on the s200 is differant and cause i only have a s410 i would not know the measurements for the inletting for your gun, would be ok if you lived closer and i could look at ya gun and do it. i,ll have to buy some new guns now just so i can make the stocks for them. lol

this is the second stock i have made now, i have built this one for me mate and shooting buddy. , it is american black walnut with american maple spacers and tipped on forend and capped below grips with iroko, was trying to get some ebony but could not get hold of any so my friend at the woodyard suggested iroko, this has a lovely grain and glad i used it. took me a little longer to do this one but has come out a beauty and me mate was well pleased . i am half way through a third one already so will be letting one go, cant keep em all lol.

thanks all. got home from work early today and i have now put the final coat of oil on me mates new stock. will put up some pics soon as i can. i like it much better than my one .

never had any work again today, was a bit pee,d off so snuck out at 2.30 again to take my frustration out on them woodies, was back home by 5.15 with another 10 in the bag. i had 9 and as bagging the pigeons up and getting ready to leave one lone pigeon landed about 35 yards on outset of sitty trees, the pellet found its way through the branches with a clean head shot to tally 10 again. all these were clean head shots apart from one which was a bit low and hit in the neck still with a clean kill. this was a good couple of hours shooting so cheered me up a little and then when i got home my gu
