  3. I had exactly the same situation as this, I got a closed ticket they told me every new permission I get I had to send in permission slips and wait for them to send me letter back before I could shoot, well I got in touch with basc and he emailed the head of kent firearms and I have it in black and white as long as I know the land is cleared I am good to go so after this on my next new permission I just phoned to check it was cleared and they said it was so I said thanks and started shooting. Had a call from flo a few days later saying the land had to be checked and I had t I send in permissio

  9. In the same phone call I was also enquiring to see if 2 different pieces of land had been cleared for 22lr. The lady on the phone told me that one was ok and to get the written permission slip sent to them but the other piece of land was cleared but she said it had expired and would need to be checked by a visit by my feo to be cleared again, seems different parts of the country have there own policy's . My Fac certificate actually states I can shoot on any land that has been deemed safe by the chief of police, it does not state that I have to get written permission for every piece of land , I
  10. I,m also from North kent . Had my Fac for a few months now for fac air and 22lr. I also have a closed ticket. I thought that as long as the land had been passed for the calibre you are using then you was good to go, I phoned Kent police headquarters with a couple of new permissions and was told they were cleared for what I was using so I said I can start shooting then , I was told on the phone that I cannot start shooting these other pieces of land until I have sent Kent police written permission for these pieces of land, I thought this was wrong so I phoned my feo and he told me it was Kent
  11. Ha ha. Don't really fancy getting a few bruises. Can't do anything at the moment as I'm out of country till 10th Jan so will see what the manager has ta say when I get back. I jokingly said about the free advertising to my mate. Have a look for the fox groups on Facebook I just can't get over it what they think they are acheiving wasting all that money nursing foxes that have mange then releasing them back. They all keep sayang about us shooters hunters messing with the economy system surely they are doing the same as most of them foxes they are nursing would be dead and ya got locals saying t
  12. Gone bit further than that. He did not tell me till after that he sent an email to every member telling them what I was doing and naming me. Now its all over Facebook and also my name is in all the local papers and news. At first I was panicking worried about reprisals but really don't give a shit. Everyone who knows me knows I have been shooting all my adult life. The people who don't know me can go do one.
  13. Dunno what will happen. I am out of country for a few weeks so have to see what happens when I get. There's a fox group that got involved. These people are nuts. Capturing injured foxes nursing em back to health costing hundreds of pounds then releasing em again. The land adjoins the golf club is a heath and I believe is woodland trust and I thought maybe they are releasing foxes here that's why they are making such a fuss and maybe why there's so many foxes here
  14. Recently started shooting foxes on a new permission golf course as the manager showed me they were messing over the outside eating sitting areas and digging up the bunkers. First night there I must havery saw over 20 foxes which I could not believe. Anyway to cut a long story short the manager informed all 500 members by email with only 1 objection so I got the go ahead and as I am waiting for my fac cert to come I started with shotgun evening close range. A few weeks ago I got tipped off that the 1 objecting member had posted the email the manager had sent to all the members with my name on
  15. had the same prob in the past , since putting signs out saying (shooting in progress please stick to the paths) we have found most people do stick to the paths now . you only need to make a few to cover area where you are shooting , printed laminated and stuck on a bit of plywood , store them under passenger seat so i have them everytime i go out ,
  16. on the feo advice i have put in for fac air , 22lr, 17hmr and a 233 after talking to him he said i have good reason on land i have permission for to have these calibres, i have 3 permissions 1 around 200 acres 1 around 150 acres and one 70 acre plus i have another but that is shotgun only, he said i will prob be granted all calibres apart from the 233 which he said i will prob get a few months later but he said to put in for it so just a matter of waiting now they have had me money lol
  17. lol just checked me bank , cashed the cheque on the 6th
  18. ok thanks so prob wont hear anything till i get back in january then ,
  19. anyone had any recent dealing with kent fac applications recently, sent off 2 weeks ago and just thinking how long roughly before i hear something as i am going away for christmas and was thinking wether i should tell them incase they try to contact as i,m going for a month
  20. great post , have read a lot of people saying the only way ta get permissions is door knocking . been shooting for over 20 years and not being the most confident salesman i have never tried knocking doors i got one permission through a relation and one by sending out letters over 60 went out, tried emailing and letters all the time with no other permissions coming and with losing one permission last year i was getting pissed off with one permission that was not very good. i decided last week to take the bull by the horns and make a list of places to go and knock, one week later i have 3 new p
