  1. Yeah, getting a few members steadily. It's a fairly layed back board, open to anyone with an interest in dogs.

I have that trophy in my front room,the first year on it is 92/93,the dogs name, as you say is Canaan,but the name with it is Don Southerd.Don won it again the following year 93/94 with his famous bitch Lady,who also won the ALC Cup that year. Don co owned Canaan with my dad and Brian Plummer, Brian bred her, my dad coursed her here on the Fens and got her at the peak of fitness and won the year after Kizzy had won. Don Southerd had her after that. I've got some photos of her somewhere, i'll try and dig them out. I know Don and have run against him a few times,it is his name on t

  9. Thought i would share a couple of pics of lurchers from my childhood. Kizzy, a colliegreyhoundxdeerhoundgreyhound x greyhound. She was a superb coursing bitch with speed, stamina, athleticism and enough brains to keep out of too much trouble. She won the first East of England coursing club competition, my dad won the year after too with the Saluki greyhound bitch, Canaan, bred by Brian Plummer. The other bitch here is Polly, Granddaughter of Merab. Polly was bred by Brian in Caithness, she was a great ferreting dog, excellent nose, intelligence and very perceptive of everything around her, bo
  10. Hi everyone, my names Joe, I live near Spalding in Lincolnshire. My family have always kept Lurchers, Terriers and Ferrets. My dad had a bitch called Kizzy, a superb coursing dog and all rounder and winner of the first East of England coursing club competition, she was a great bitch. He had another bitch called Polly from Brian Plummer, she was granddaughter of Merab and looked almost the double of her, a very intelligent bitch and a class A Ferreting dog.
