aaahhhhh what an awful site its a fluffy ferret pet lovers site full of saintly pet owners and rescue workers....... dont get me wrong i aint slagging off rescue workers but i could only stomach reading the first page of that tripe. it was like sitting in on a bible lovers class all up ya nose and just horrible there was a lot of moaning about how unwanted bred working ferrets fill the resue centres every year.....but when asked why they do this job its for the love of the animal but if over breeding didnt go on they wouldnt have enough numbers to run a welfare centre and get the job fulfil

the only advice i can offer is to check your neighbouring gardens under sheds behind water barrels and all small hiding places a live trap or 2 in others gardens anyone with chickens or birds in the area or rabbits you are responsible to warn other pet owners that your ferret is loose he might be holed up asleep with what was the neighbours rabbit good luck in finding your ferret keep us posted

what a tosser "If the youths had been refugees from the slums of Victorian England hoping to catch something for their family's usually empty pots, I would not have minded."- well we do fill our pots, its like living in victorian britain living under labour.. "And I would have understood if the farmers, anxious about their crops, had organised an anti-rabbit sweep with gas...." so he doesnt mind the little rabbits being slowly gassed to death, what a fecking hero.... what do you expect

my mesh was sourced from railway fencing cheap and highly versitile lol

speaking sence mate i dont see no point going ferreting this time in the year aswell totally agree theres no point in it your just killing of your own sport for later on in the year and you will spend most of your time digging. thats the point for pest control it isnt so much of a sport and land owners let pest controllers work the land to eradicate the pest problem. its not about preserving sport its about doing the job in hand. pest controllers work their land all year round ferreters dont closed season its a fact of life and neither side is right or wrong its two different

it all helps my friend use the frontline to eradicate them and the garlic to keep them at bay good luck
-
one clove of garlic crushed into either a mashed up sausage, bits of bacon or a small bit of dog food mix it in and the ferrets dont even know the garlic is there one every month or two depending on how bad they get the fleas cant help you on the frontline doseage as i dont use it the garlic works a treat for me

makes sense mate

i agree dog food is highly inapropriate for ferrets as a regular feed i only suggested the dog food to mix in with the garlic for them to take it down any self respecting ferret would turn their nose up at just garlic served up to them for their supper lol

Out of interest what do you give garlic wise powder or liquid , i was going to start to add it to the dogs food wasnt sure how much to give & which form of garlic to give , with the population of deer here i think its worth trying a preventitive as well as veterinary stuff if neded especially where ticks are concerned hi kay i used to give the dogs garlic and jusrt carried it ovr to the ferrets. i use fresh garlic one clove for the ferrets and 2-3 for the dogs grind it up and add it to their food once a month. suppose you could use powder or liquid i prefer fresh you are getting fr
