    My bitch is the same ,, nearly 12 months now ,,,,she would drool and throw up every journey ,,,,yet she jumps in the car no problem ,,,,,then a few months ago I got a cage put it on the back of the Transit Pickup to take her out and the throwing up more or less stopped ,,,,,,,the last few weeks she hasn't thrown up in car either ,,,,touch wood ,,,,,hoping we may have got over it ,,,,,,,,keep at it they do get over it in time !

    Same when someone gets nicked with 1K of weed ,,,,,by time it gets to court its 10k !!! The picture of two blokes in a field in Lincs both carrying 15k in cash is hard to take in !!

    One saying that really pisses me off is ""it gives the antis more ammo " ,,,,,,,,,,,we are talking about nutters who want the world to all be vegan ,,who think the life of a fox is more important than a humans !!! ,,,,,,,they don't like us full stop anyway !!! Sometimes in certain company I wouldn't admit to hunting ,,,after the ban ,, I decided ,,stuff it ,,,,now I just tell people ,,,,if they want to be mates ,, ok ,,if not ,,that's there choice ,,,the old lurcher men were solitary characters ,,,,the longer you are in this game , the more you see they had it right .

    So if they don't do it to keep lurcher men off ,why take out such big numbers ? Cull a number yes , but to slaughter thousands in a day ,,,,,,,,,,,only two reasons for that ,,,,,,,,,,,,,firstly ,money ,secondly , ego boosting !

    i have shot foxes , killed all sorts with my lurchers ,,,,,,,,,,but i don't know why ,,,,,,,,,,,i just couldn't pull the trigger on a hare ,,,,,,,perhaps its down to respect for such an athlete who gave me such good times at Waterloo Cup , other days coursing , and the fact that you judge any lurcher you own by the way he tackles a hare .

    As my Dad used to own an animal feed wholesalers I have tried them all ,,,,Redmills I found made my dogs look like toast racks after a nights lamping , weight loss was dramatic ,,Wagg ,,,which gives the biggest quantity of red crap out of a dog ever ,,,,,but saying that I had a pup on it and he won 11 Puppy Championship shows on the bounce !!! ,,,,,,I have had dogs kill hares on Aldi all in one also ,,,,,,but for many years now I have only fed raw , chicken , mince , fish , pasta ,lamb bones , whatever I catch , and add sunflower oil , it works for me so I stick with it .

    Is using a dropper any worse than entering a coursing pup on a September stubble hare , or a bull x , doubled up on a fox ,the key to any lurcher is not over matching it as a pup ,,,,,as for geeing up ,,I once had a greyhound that never hit the lids , but finished fast , we took him out on the lamp one night , the night before a race , never slipped him just let him see quarry running , he was howling with excitement .............he smashed the lids , led all the way , backed from 4/1 into 2/1 ,,,,no animal is the same as the next one , some need different methods to get to the bottom of them

    Morton ,,,,I couldn't have put it better ,,,bang on mate ,,,,,nothing worse than a grass ,,,,,,,,,,,a hunt secretary told me they traced most of the infiltration on his hunt to young girls who rode with the hunt , being tapped up in livery yards they shared with anti hunting folks about meets etc ,,,I have had running dogs or greyhounds 30 odd years and trust me ,,,I have seen many a greyhound have a " livener ".

    Funny that ,,,,,,,,,,2 of the last 3 posters admit using droppers , 1 admits helping out on big quarry .............I think that was the point I was trying to make ,,,,,,,,,,,,I bet we have all put a foot out as a hare runs towards us on the lamp ? lol

    Before we all jump on the cruelty bit ,,,,,how many on here have used a " dropper " on a pup , that's been " handicapped " in some way .....or helped out a dog when struggling with large quarry ? As for not helping hunting .............its never coming back ,,,Cameron was our best bet and he is off now ,,,,with EU business , hunting will never be debated again ,,,,,,,,,,as for antis ,,they think we are scum regardless ,,,,if its genuine film , it was silly , but I am always sceptical of any film the "unwashed " put together !

    Before we all give it the " cruel b*****ds " bit ,,,,,,,,,,,,,how many of us have given a pup an " advantage " of some sort on a rabbit ? Or helped out a dog when needed ............if its true ,,yes , they have been very stupid , but as for harming any chance of lifting the ban ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,its never going to be lifted ,,,Cameron was our best bet ,,,hes done nothing and is off soon anyway ,,,,,,,,,,,antis think we are all scum anyway ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,quite frankly ,,, I couldn't care less what they think of me and suggest we all do the same !!

    I raced greyhounds for many years and once had a chat with multiple Derby winning trainer Charlie Lister , he told me he put far more importance on the lines of the bitch than the dog ,,,,,,,,,,both with what they had done on the track and what had produced in earlier litters ,,,,,,,,,,,remember a stud dog can mate hundreds of bitches ,chances are he will throw a decent pup somewhere , bitches if used correctly should only produce a couple of litters .

    Shredded paper instead of straw will shine the coat , the ink shines the coat apparently , a jeweller once told me , they use a scrunched up newspaper to polish their windows and display cases ,,,,,,,,,,honest it works ! I recently took a pup on , black ,,,,hard to keep on good nick but look great when right ,,,,,,,,,,,,I have now got her gleaming , using , chicken wings , mince , sardines , eggs , sunflower oil every day ,noticed she had bad dandruff after liver so dropped it from her diet , its trial and error !

    A fox is a fox to me mate where ever it is in the country we just got on more in a night down south. Trouble round here mate is , due to summer lampers and poor shooters they are lamp shy by September !!! deff true mate, you be very lucky to call a fox in dec, it waste of time. they follow you around when you got few rabbits, but good 100yds away . ive often though mate how many really get caught with dogs pre ban after nov ? deff not down our old stomping ground lolIt's no different down here especially as it's heavily keeper ed but the fields are big so 100-150yd slips were quite no
