  1. Hi Lads, Hope the season is being kind to all! Just posted this in the Miscellanous section, may be of interest to some in this section. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/228669-free-two-tier-hutch/ Kindest Regards, Mikey.
  2. As per title, Free two tier hutch. Sturdy hand built not pet shop shite! Has another level in roof space ideal for nesting. Can lift up the ramp from one level to the next seperating them Just wanting rid to free up some space. Collection only, ideally a van as it is to large for a car boot, just squeezed in the back of my old Discovery. Kind Regards, mikey.
  3. As above mate. Do you have a link as to where you got the connector from? Kind Regards, Mikey.
  4. Hi Rob, Its best to use whatever pellet groups the best in your particular barell regardless of weight. A bloke I sometimes shoot HFT with has cleared two courses with his Huntsman, using JSB's. Reckon you will have good results with these, but as we all know to well, each barell is different! I always use JSB's as a good starting point. Im lucky that two of my rifles love them, my AA S400GML and my TX200HC. I tend to buy in bulk so to get the same batch, and reduce costs. Mikey.
  5. Hi Robwelsh, Not got a Huntsman myself, but know a couple of lads that do. They tend to use JSB Exacts (4.52) through them to good effect. Cracking little rifle mate, sure it will see you well. Kind Regards, Mikey.
  6. I wear what works best on my shoots. British Army DPM in spring and summer. In autumn and winte i use German Flecktarn as it has lots of bowns in it which match the fallen leaves etc. Works fantastic on my main shoot. I firmly believe you dont have to spend hundreds of quid on cammo, just get down your local army surples!! Mikey.
  7. Hi Andy, I had a similar scenario on my R10. Brought it second hand, it loved any of the JSB made pellets. It went to Tench for some lovin', and shotgunned the JSB's. Now it loves the Crosman Prem type pellets like Daystate Li's, and with these its the most accurate rifle I have ever owned. I put this down to the change in reg pressure though. Tench turns the reg up to around 90bar so you get a shorter, more powerful charge of air so in theory getting a better breach seal. Funny things these air rifle thingys Kind Regards, Mikey.
  8. Top stuff Smitd, Glad to see the sticks did the job! Mikey.
  9. He he he loved it down there Daz! Getting paid to do a Plumbing course, blowing it all on ale, and getting taken advantage of by the Chatham Birds!!! They were the days! Mikey.
  10. Had many a night out in Chatham and Gillingham as a young Sapper, my favourite haunt being The Viscount. Regarding the original post the bit about ''You have a slight mistrust of people who don’t drink brews'' That had me absolute howling with laughter! Mikey.
  11. Hi Harvey, When you zero it are you in the same position each time. Reason I ask is when I zero prone (TX200) and take a shot kneeling or standing, the point of impact is slightly different in each position. I zero prone with my hand touching a wooden peg, as this is the most common position in UKAHFT. From what you have explained, it sounds like there has been a slight change in hold from the last time you shot, easy done if you havent shot springer for a while. I zero my rifle as explained and leave the settings, I know its spot on, if I miss it is usually down to inconsistant hold.
  12. Hi Chaz, Top stuff lads. If you polished the hammer and rail, im sure if you were to put it over a chrono it would be super consistant! The S4#0 range really benefits from a good strip down, de-gunge and polish. Kind Regards, Mikey.
  13. Hi Smitd, I wouldnt go wasting money on sticks anyway. Best make a set yourself as per this vid, Cost me less than a fiver to do mine. Regarding using them with a springer, I have never tried. I would imagine that if you rested your hand on top of the sticks, and your rifle in your hand, this would give best results. Letting the rifle recoil the same each time is the key, a nice loose hold works best for me. Regards, Mikey.
  14. Davy that TX gave me a bit of a touch on!!! love that stock. I have a totally standard TX200HC MK3 I also use for HFT and love it. Have considered getting a V-Mach kit fitted, but Im really impressed with the stanard kit, so may put the money towards a custom stock. You find the stock makes a lot of difference mate? Kind Regards, Mikey.
  15. Hi Stubbs, If you were to wind down the mag, the pic would be a lot clearer. Hope this helps. Mikey.
  16. Hi Tom, I currently own both a Mamba Lite and a Sidewinder Tac30. They are both excellent scopes for both hunting and I currently shoot a fair few HFT series. The optics on the Tac30 are far superior to the Mamba, but i much prefer the Mamba SCB reticle, to the half mil-dot reticle. As the Mamba Lite has a 25mm tube it is possible to mount it really close to the bore making the trajectory a lot flatter out to my zero (25yds), making the 15mm reducers a lot easier. Both great scopes, just depends on the user. As already sugested get yourself to the shop/club, and have a look through
  17. Hi Mate, Dont think it can be done. Best ask Sammie at MTC, she knows her stuff and provides an excellent customer service. Just out of curiosity, why do you want to focus at 5yds on full mag? Regards, Mikey.
  18. Sounds a bit pricey to me that mate they are only £489 new from Blackpool Airrifles, depends on the scope I suppose. Mikey.
  19. Only ever heard good things about them! Let us know how you get on. I have just purchased a TX200HC for HFT use, considering sending it off to SFS myself! Mikey.
  20. Hi Forager, I used to use JSB Exacts (4.52) in my MK3, grouped very well out to 45yds. HTH, Mikey.
  21. Hi Tony, Yeah sort of, just doing a site investigation for a cable route coming in off-shore to Heddon. Im from Buxton on the edge of the Peak District and thought it was windy here! Its nothing to Humber. No wonder there putting a huge windfarm off-shore!!! All The Best, Mikey.
  22. Hi Tony, Im currently working up your way, (Heddon,Patrington and Easington), and have never known such a windy place. Was out in it yesterday and was fricken frozen!! Kind Regards, Mikey.
  23. Yep, another vote for the S200. Will shoot as well as a rifle that costs twice the price. Mikey.
  24. The SR6 reticle markings are closer together making it ideal for .177 flatter trajectory. The SR12 works fantastically well with .22. Regards, Mikey.
  25. Hi Mate, Do you still have the original FTR stock?? Regards, Mikey.
