Cracking combo mate. I use the same on my HFT setup and if I do my bit, I compete with the PCP's no problem! Kindest Regards, Mikey.

Nice mate, cant beat a bit of rat bashing, and them rats look well and truly bashed!! The NS50 looks a seriously good bit of kit! If I was a bit busier at work I would deffinately be putting in an order for one! Keep at 'em Kindest Regards, Mikey.

I have an R10 MK1 and it has filled my gamebag many times over without problem. All I do is make sure I clean the barrell at the end of each tin of pellets, as after 500 or so pellets my groups start to open up a bit. My advice would be buy a MK1 as cheap as possible and send it off to Tench or JB. Can vouch for Tenchs work as excellent. Mikey.

Like the look of that mate. Currently in the process of refurbing a MKII TX200 myself. All the tuning work is done, just need to do the stock and action. Love the adjustable cheek piece, did you do the work yourself?? Thanks for sharing. Mikey.

Hi Garrick, As Si mentioned you won't go wrong with Tony at SFS. He sizes everything to your particular rifle, as you can imagine each rifle has different tolerances. So what your actually getting is a kit custom to your individual rifle, not just your model of rifle as you would a V-Mach/ Vortek kit. Value for money is also very exceptional. Not knocking the other two, I have a TX200 MKII with a V-Mach kit, and its by far the nicest springer I have fired. But I have spent a lot of time polishing the internals and sizing the piston seal to get it sweet as a nut!! Kindest Regards,

Nice shooting mate. Good to see all the quarry being used! Mikey.

Hi All, I have just finished tuning my TX200 MKII. When I bought it there was a V-Mach installed to a very poor standard. Far to much grease in all the wrong places, leading to heavy dieselling. I have stripped it completely, a thorough degrease, all points of contact highly polished to a mirror finish using Jewellers Rouge and Autosol. I found the piston seal far to tight for the compression chamber, so sized that to fit perfectly. After a relube and polishing the trigger seals I reassembled the rifle. I put a ten shot string through my Chrombo to find this is the most cosistant rifle Ive

Hey amigos what spring gun groups choo get?
mikeyblue replied to Manco's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi El Manco, I try and shoot my springers as accurately as my PCPs. Its harder to achieve but much more rewarding. My best group to date at 45yds with my TX200. is 18mm (indoor, 5 shots) I aim to improve this when I get more range time! ATB, Mikey. -
Hi Matt, The TX is an easy rifle to strip and maintain. If you were thinking of putting new internals I would recomend either a V-Mach kit (quite pricey at £70) or give Sandwell Field Sports a call, they do a full tune for the same price! Before spending money I would recomend a simple strip down, polish and re-lube! You may be surprised at the differnce it makes without splashing the cash. Below are a couple of easy to follow guides on the stripping of a TX200 for your refrence. http://www.severi.be/airgunning/TX200%20strip.htm http://www.freewebs.com/stripdowns/tx200hcstrip.ht

Pull through here as well. Another method Ive seen work well is Swan Slimline Filter Tips for cigarettes. A lot cheaper than the felt pellets. Regards, Mikey. Edited to say, if using the felt pellets or Swan Filters in a springer, make sure you push them into the breech followed by a normal lead pellet to make sure you dont cause any damage. -

Hi Gaz, Good choice, the Ultra is a little cracker. Regards maintanance, for me its a matter of, . Make sure fill probe is clean of debris on filling. You dont want any grit getting into the seals etc. Wipe over the action with an oily rag after an outing to keep pitting at bay. A clean of the barrel if you find your grouping opening up or are getting to many flyers. Thats it really mate, pretty bog standard stuff! Mikey. -
Yep very good rifles mate. They were buily by Daystate for RWS. They are basically a regulated model of Daystate's Air Ranger. Mikey.

Cheers Daz, Hope you're well mate. I will be at your club on Sunday for the North West comp, you are more than welcome to have some range time with a TX if you are there. Cheers Ross, I will take pics along the way and post up at the end of the project. It will be a while though as time and funds are relatively short, and I intend to get everything absolutely perfick! Mikey.

Hi Lads, Here is a couple of pics of my new purchase, alongside my current HFT springer. The top TX is a MKII which I plan to work on, full tune and finally fit it in another GINB Stock. http:// http://i763.photobucket.com/albums/xx279/mikeyblue/PICT0638.jpg[/img]"]http:// It already has had a V-Mach kit fitted so intend to strip, highly polish working parts and a relube. Also the trigger mechanism will be getting a bit of loving! The bluing is very worn, but undecided whether to do a full reblue or try a finish a bit different like nickel plating! I want this to be a one of

Hi Fry, Lovely looking piece of kit that! I have a couple of TX's one with a V-Mach and one without. The one with is deffinately easier to shoot as it is a lot less hold sensitive. Im just starting to use it in HFT comps now and must say Im chuffed to bits with it! Will try and put a pic up later of the two, as they are my pride and joy! Looking forward to seeing your results with it mate. Kindest Regards, Mikey.
