Take a look at Crossfit, I've been doing it for a couple of months and am thoroughly enjoying it. The Crossfit Games looks like quite a spectacle- but then the Americans always put on a good show. I think the name is tademarked and franchised out, so probably expensive but it might give you some ideas.
