thought with it been a nice day would bugger off to Roos where my clubs out door range is,, an fine tune the the nikko scope i put on the S400, but instead of using the paper target i thought bugger it i will use the permenant htf/ft course we have set out all year, so 20 mins shooting a metal crow at 35yards i had had enough an job done, the scope was just about zeroed before i fine tuned it, i start to walk back to the plinking range Phantom knows how the layout of my place is, 55 yards zeroing/ plinking range with benches and knock down targets, as i walk round the corner i sees a big black

RiffRaff replied to GetOnitSkinDown's topic in General Airgun Discussion
last one i saw been used had a dot the size of an orange @35 yards, an he gave up an did it the old fashioned way cross on a sheet of paper,, dont suppose it would have been bad if you could have focused the dot smaller, my two bobs worth save yah money buy a £2.99 ream of paper an a marker pen from any stationiers an if you get bored zeroing you can just doodle shoot safe my spelling may be hit an miss but i dont miss with the ripley Niel -
silk purse from a sows ear so to speak
RiffRaff replied to RiffRaff's topic in General Airgun Discussion
to be honest bill i know it took him a while from anealing the file to get it soft enough to work and then grind shape and edge bevels to the final polish an then the oak handle he still says its not finished yet,,it deals with rabbits an other stuff :whistling: with ease, i cant wait for him to start mine cos, i have so stunning wallnut for the handle an some nice leather for the sheath but if mine turns out half as good i will be well happy shoot safe Niel -

well bet the title got you thinking,, well a mate of mine who is very handy working with steel decided to make a knife from one of the oldest battered manky looking files i have ever seen,, cos he was sick of the price of a decent knife,an atleast dick turpin used a gun when robbing you  any ways the pics below dont do this first attempt justice. he is well happy with it an so am i cos hes making me one to, it does look a bit ropey on the back edges, but thats because he left some of the file teeth when he finished polishing it i think its stunning an its as

Tony i reckon your on about garys old gun it likes to be fed 5.51. an it loved H&N ftf when me an gary was out with it. he never missed a beat with it out 60yards on steel an 45ish on bunnies ,squizzers or anything with feathers to be honest what ever he aimed at fell over(steel) or was dead. an to add insult to injury he was using my nikko sat on top of it, just a bad day dude mark it down to experiance, lifes a bitch an then some Niel

Air Arms s400/s410 silencers
RiffRaff replied to farmerkev09's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
have the standard air arms tube on both my s400 .177 and on my s410 .22,, but with modified internals an baffels, basicaly the same as wierauch put in theirs hair curlers and some thickish felt stuff an 3 steel baffels all different spacing. they work as good as any of the more expensive ones for next to no money shoot safe Niel -
