    I have got a tasco on my venom viper, its a 6-24 x 50. It's a good scope but I have just bought the hawke scope zini is referring to for my new S510 and honestly it is a cut above. A T B Rick.

    Cheers Si, Comments much appreciated.. Perhaps I should have explained more clearly to start with that I knew it wasn't a dog / cat / deer or anything of such a size. I could see the outline of the bird ish but wasn't sure if it was a pigeon or woodcock etc... Just want to make sure nobody gets the impression i'm an irresponsible, trigger happy novice. Rick.

    The night I shot the woodcock was pretty poor visability and if i'm honest I just saw the eye in the lamp... I wasn't exactly sure what it was until I walked over and picked it up from some distance away. As it happened though, a guy who I work with had actually always wanted to try woodcock so it didn't go to waste. Rick. not being funny but unless you can make out what you have the cross hairs on,you should not have your finger on the trigger and certainly NOT taken the shot. however,you should of eaten it as its very good eating.     Cheers everyone, glad you liked the post. I have had the venom viper a few years now and love it! Am currently pondering on which rifle to buy next. I like the Hw100 but i find it a bit heavy out in the field so am swinging towards an aa S410 or 510. I have got a fair few pics from various hunting sessions so Will stick some on soon... See what you think. And i know... It took me a while to start posting! ha

    Hi All, I joined the forum ages ago but never got round to starting to use it properly due to having a new baby in the house etc etc.. Anyway, decided to start contributing now instead of just reading all your posts and looking at your photo's! ha! Attached pic is from a 4 hour session on a permission in Derbyshire on Friday night with a mate. We actually shot one more on the way out so rounded it off to a nice respectable six bunnies. Three shot with my Venom Viper and three with my mates HW100. Cheers for looking. Rick - Leeds area.
