ive been driving 27yrs and 16yrs of them driving HGV trucks all over europe been done twice for speeding 1st one for doing 56mph in a truck on the A75 in scotland at 04.45 in the morning ( 40mph for trucks 70mph for cars) got 5 points £90 fine 2nd one for doing 52mph in a van at 23.55 at night on a dual carrigeway that turned out to be a 30mph stretch 200yrds from a motorway entrance 6 points £125 fine both of these were with radar guns no excuse i was speeding but i think a lot of it is just to fill the police coffers with easy target motorists cash
