  1. Best place to get spices is a Chinese supermarket or Asia store. You'll probably need quite an amount and bags of spices are a Lot cheaper there than in a supermarket. Try here for a few recipes Biltong recipes on recipezaar But basically black pepper, coriander, rocksalt, chillies etc are a good start. I'm off to bed but will try to dig out a few more links for you tomorrow.
  2. Milton sterilising tablets and let it stand for a few hours heating it to warm but not hot regularly. Then rinse out thoroughly. Or get specialist cleaning product from the brew shop.
  3. I'll start with the standard apology if I'm posting in the wrong section I'm trying to find a supplier for a full deer carcass (preferably a fallow) still with the skin on etc for a living history/primative crafts weekend a few of us want to do. I'm 10 years and 250 miles away from the my old contacts and my google foo is failing me. So....can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm based in Huddersfield but anywhere within a reasonable distance would be great. Thanks Wend
  4. She sounds like me at the wrong time of the month I'm with ESS get her spayed - no good reason not to ana a lot of good reasons to have it done.
  5. I reckon you should be ok http://www.intervet.co.uk/Products_Public/...t_Datasheet.asp this is the data sheet for it, says "Benzimidazoles have a wide safety margin and even overdose is unlikely to cause reactions." down towards the bottom.
  6. I think the potential for serious harm would depend on how much over the recomended dose you went...5% over would not be too bad 5 times the reccomended dose could be nasty.
  7. Do you know if the vet had sent skin biopsies from the euthanaised animals off for analysis? Pass this reference onto the vet if you can - the symptoms rang a bell. I *think* that the nerve pain and necrosis can cause self mutilation in some cases but I've not got access to a lot of the papers - the vet probably would have. good luck http://www.vet.ksu.edu/DEPTS/dmp/service/s...reptococcal.pdf
  8. Not too far at all. :thumbs-up: Thank for the welcome guys.
  9. H there, just a bit of an intro. I trained in land management and conservation 15 plus years ago but have been out of the industry for over 10 years due to a few health probs and other circumstances beyond my control. I've started missing that part of life a lot over the past couple of years and am starting to shift my life back to the way I want it. So the usual stuff...I'm Wendy, mid thirties, live in Yorkshire, don't have a dog at the moment (work full time) of and I do living history and medieval cooking among my other odd hobbies. Oh, also have husband...Grin See you all
