Was a cracking trip and enjoyed every part of it, it was sone hard work running them sandy banks but all worth it in the end, thanks alot for the opportunity socks, it's a shame the lamping wasn't the best as lass was on form running the lamp, it love having the chance to see different parts of the country but this one was the worst weather I've been out in but when it was good weather it was the most beautiful place I've been to, I will try and get a few pics to add, as I said thanks for the experience this trip will be one I will never forget, Cheers
  2. Cheers guys, she has bin doing me proud this season and accounted for many rabbit over a wide variety of different terrain all over the country and her retrieving is spot on I couldn't ask for much more from her only that she keeps it up for many more years to come ? Cheers

  5. I have an old dog that broke his leg in his fourth season and he was doin cracking when he was at it a shame but he's now a house dog, his breeding similar he's collie grey x beddy whippet grey

Well thanks to tomo and vin who invited me out on their permission for a days ferreting, It was a super day and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it, The weather wasnt ideal for standing around ferreting as it was very windy and snowing but we still cracked on, I took LASS and tomo had his young bitch also vin brought along his pair as our intentions were bolting to dogs, first place me and tomo split up from vin to ferret seperate warrens, we was bagging a few from each sets high on the hills with the dogs catching a few and digging a few out we also had a fair ammount from hole ends which ferr

Its not like his bitch was left in pain, as he said she turned up at his mates who lives up the road from him,,, when FLY turned up at rews mates house he seen the injury straight away and cleaned it with salt water and gave the dog some metacam then bedded her down once he returned her home,,, with him doing this for rew it gave him time to return home of holiday and make the right decision on where to take her and where would be best for the cost,,, its not like she was left in pain as she had metacam as i said and was took for treatment on the same day,,, i know rew well and he will always

  15. have you ever tried Lass on big rabbits, she's a lovely bitch yes mate she does well on them daytime and done a few now,,, next season will be more of a tester for her mate although my main game is rabbiting

  18. Just thought i would share a few trips ive had with lass over this past season... She has really came into her own this season and doing really well, shes just about 2 year old now... Her retreive is bang on and she brings rabbits back like a pro, best thing is that she is very soft mouthed with rabbits and never damages any of the meat... Shes the first saluki x dog ive ever owned and and shes bin a pleasure really from day 1, Shes so loyal and forward in the feild its just an absolute blessing watching her do what she loves to do. I have a young dog that is hopefully following her footsteps
  19. Top stuff mate sounds a good night and a good haul ,,, i had a few retreives out of my bitch just like you mentioned with yours on my last few night out, its great when the dog enjoys retreiving

  21. Me and Rew headed out sunday night to do the last lamp of the season, weather conditions were great as there was hardly any moon and plenty of strong wind... I took LASS and rew brought with him his young bitch GEM, We started lamping around 9.30 and first place there was plenty to go out... we split up and started lamping, i was getting plenty of runs and on the first few feild and one of them was plough so had a few easy picking of tht and i soon bagged around 14 or so, i met up with rew and he was on about 8 with his bitch and she had also picked an hare with rew having no intention of runn
