    mattyg the fourtrack are good motors some prefer the non turbo as its better on fuel the discovery is also ok if you can find one that's solid underneat

    any motor can be shite it depends how they have been drove by the owners I have had many motors over the years some have been great and some bad the best for comfort was a grand Cherokee but low mpg

    Hi Lab no but my journeys are short down to the young lads nursery and back twice a day then shopping in Dundee once a fortnight the freelander will drink the fuel quicker if you boot it more and don't keep the tyre pressure the same in all the wheels they are under powered for the size of motor

    try looking up the mpg online most of my driving is 30mph to 50mph the millage I said is when the garage price per litre is 1.30 I always put 20 quid in and reset the trip mileage

    lab no but I don't boot the crap out of any motor I drive so I save on fuel even with my old vitara v6 2.5 litre

    2001 onwards are better still have bother with wheel sensors for abs etc I have the 1.8 petrol great too drive plenty room and it dose 200 miles around town for 20 quid fuel
