  1. And another thing while im at it! Did you see the amount of police that turned out to slap the lads wrists for taking their dogs a walk! Someone should do a conscice report into how much taxpayers money and police time that could be used doing better things is wasted trying to enforce this ludacris ban. I guarantee you it will be frightening, possibly enough to sway the majority of people into going against it.
  2. Sad state of affairs. I remember (not that long ago) programmes like landward and countryfile would be more about farming and such like, now its an absolute pisstake. Badger baiting and digging are worlds apart, and grouping them together should be made criminal, not the sport. Digging is the sport of kings as is coursing. Hare coursing will never get back on its feet if sensationalist gobshite like this comes on top for the townies and do-gooders to see, makes my piss boil. No point wasting your time complaining, BBC are so feckin biased its a joke. The only thing we can do is t
  3. How much do any of yous get for shotgunned rabbits, i thought nobody buys them. Whatever i dont eat, or the ferrets goes to fox middens. Often get 100 + whilst ferreting seems quite a waste.
  4. Get that problem every time i introduce a new ferret to my stock. I think its just a dominance thing, the most dominant ferret will give it some stick for a few days untill it knows its place. Ive found through experience that splitting them only makes it worse no point in having ferrets that cant work together.
  5. If you leave all your holes un inhabitable, the foxes will just move onto another patch and come and go as they please, making them even harder to catch up with and control. If its pest control, they are much easier managed when you know exactly where they will be, instead of looking for new earths every winter and spring.
  6. Mite just be their style then, not a bad thing if you know what to expect. I personally work a team of small jillsfor the reason once they kill, if you dont dig them quick enough they will come off shortly. Ive got a big hob that i only work on small burys, because if he kills he will stay for an age or untill dug to.
  7. If the rabbits see you before they bolt, sometimes they wont. Same as if your jumping around ontop of the warren. Also depends on weather, and if you have mahoosive giant hobs lol. If you do, buy a spade because you will need it, imo.
  8. Round about here most foxes to ground will be in dug out rabbit holes, especially at cubbing time. Some of these holes are unbileivably tight and i keep terriers short coupled for that reason, height doesnt matter, a good dog will fold its legs to get where it wants, if its too broad in the chest it would be next to useless to me.
  9. Cheers lads. Been offered some at 6 quid a go, just to check i wasnt being ripped.
  10. A fekin air rifle ? LOL thats brutal, do the job right. Ive seen a fox run on after a fair pelt with a shotgun, hardy animals.
  11. How much would you expect to pay for heavy duty, well made 6 ft fox nets. Been a while since ive had to buy any, needing some more.
  12. Saluki grayhound of some description. If your working mans land though (Ayrshire lol) you deffo need a bit of whippet for off the mark burst, otherwise hares will be a total pisstake.
  13. Feed it a few hours before you head out then let it have a couple of hours sleep. Pack up long before darkness, nowt worse than a deep lay up when its getting dark. Be very quiet around the holes (if your netting).
  14. I like em dirty. When you ask her for a blowjob and she says, just wank in a cup and ill drink it in the morning. Proper woman. lol
  15. Go for it mate, you wont regret it. If your ferrets mean anything to you even just the peace of mind knowing there all right is worth it. Ill work my ferrets anywhere, places i would never have done when i didnt have a locator. Keep an eye out for a second hand one on here, save you a couple of quid.
  16. Ive dug down to my old cinamon bitch before in a stop end, with a cave in behind her. With no locator she would most certainly have died, get yourself a locator, even with just one collar its a start.
  17. Personally, if the money isnt too different between the pair i would go for 8x56, you will notice the difference in evenings and whilst out lamping, bigger objective lense, lets in more light.

  19. Get a second hand over and under 12 bore baikal, it wont be pretty, but you cant get any better value for money. And youll have a fair few quid left over for cartridges
