  1. Deffinately buy a crate, dogs dont like doing their business where they sleep (in most cases). Take the dog out for the toilet last thing at night, and if it persists, get up middle of the night to take it out. Persistance is key. Try and keep feeding to a routine, dogs like routine.
  2. Dont listen to undisputed, he must have had a bad experience I do a fair bit of stuff up there. FTB
  3. "any one wishing to get true ken goulds black stuff{ no messers no time wasters no soft lads who are scared of a bit of digging and a true hard working terrier} then pm spookie as he will be breeding later this year to stuff from nigger smithy simon troy turbo eyeball sparticus blackjack and all the top names from kens stock old and new {no brian nuttal fans need apply }" Sold you say? Pull the other one, youve dropped about half a dozen names that are of little to no relevence. Wish you all the best in shifting the pups, i will bite my tounge. Cheers FTB
  4. Then take the post off and let the pups sell themselves. Talk is cheap mate. Not wishing to cause offence, if you came on and said they are average terriers i would say carry on. But to claim there world beaters, then ask for orders? Dosent fly with me. FTB
  5. If the stuffs that good, why you pimping it on a hunting forum. Good dogs dont need advertising. Cheers, but i think i will stick with my own stuff FTB
  6. Agree with Matulkoh, barryvox pulse gets my vote. You get what you pay for, if your in terriers for the long run you might as well spend your money wisely, instead of trying to save a few pound. Cheers FTB
  7. You should put these on the hounds section hannah, they are great. Cheers FTB
  8. Anyone who says they prefer the mk1 are either stuck in the old days or havent been using the mk3 right. The mk1 was super acurate (as is mk3 if you use it right) but the technology is prehistoric and gave up the ghost far too often. And the mk3 noise is usefull, when your standing on a near vertical hillside in january with the wind and rain slapping your face, you will be glad of it FTB
  9. What do you use the terrier for, is it an earth dog or just a busher? If its either i still wouldnt breed it with a staff, what the f#ck is the point, it certainly wont make your cock any bigger. I will never understand the fascination with a massive terrier that probably couldnt be dug down a hole. I would reccomend you dont breed the dog with anything untill you have done your homework. FTB
  10. "I think names are a thing of the past online.Rather have a good Lurcher than a big ego.Good dogs are now kept quite " Couldnt have put it better myself bud. Good dogs speak for themselves, through graft, not internet sites. Cheers FTB
  11. "only problem with V hobs... is it doesn't always work... i know of at least 10 litters born last year to V Hobs... at least 2 of them were "proven" to shoot blanks the year before.... " Find that very hard top believe, i would be at the vets demanding my money back if that were the case, its either vasectomised or its not. Got a vasectomised hob off a very kind and generous member of this site, he covers my 9 Jills, all in the same hutch very well. Jills are never in season for more than a week. Worth his weight in gold to me Saves me 15 quid a jill each year (cost of a jab
  12. Give it back. At least he's keen spirited and wants to get out with the dogs rather than sitting on an x box or something. Sounds a decent lad.
  13. Nah mate, he is well gone. Just have to keep an eye out, probably see someone with him at one of the shows! Just have to persevere with the two ive got left for the remainder of the season. Cheers for bumping it up mate. FTB
  14. If someone wants to sell something, they should have a sellers account, and to verify it there must be 5 people to vouch for them that they are genuine. Dont know if it can be done, but i think its a good idea. FTB
  15. "I personally would rather sacrifice a tiny bit of accuracy" That can easily be solved, by buying a barryvox pulse Nah, am just messin, each to their own. FTB
  16. Very good post Aaron. Nice 1. FTB
  17. First pic it looks quite camp.LOL just messin, had a collie cross that would stare at the hole and tilt its head to one side. Cheers FTB
  18. I used to insure my springer bitch, but i got stung. The things they dont pay out for is numerous, and minor things makes it not worthwhile claiming with a 50 quid excess. My springer got bartonellas disease of a tick, and left me with a £1000 vet bill that i had to pay out. I now have a tin that i put £20 month in to pay for an emergency vet bill, its surprising how the money mounts up and the money is still yours if nothing goes wrong. I would reccomend this method to anyone. Cheers FTB
  19. "he get done for murder and gets a life sentence and while you are trying to get an appeal because you say he should not be in there , he turns to smack to help him through his time in there " Tough shit. Life is a bitch at the best of times, you just have to make do with what youve got. I dont syympathise with smackheads, their decision, just hope they OD before the damge is done.
  20. A pal of mine ran on a litter of 13 lurchers till they were 7 months, he still has 4, theyre 11 months and coming on a treat. If i had time and space, i would. FTB
  21. "stick to rabbiting for f**k sake " Who made you god's gift to terrier work. Christ, weve all got to start somewhere and comments from bellends like yourself can be taken the wrong way by a young lad. At least he came here asking for advice, before going out rattling holes without a scooby. If every young lad getting into this sport sought advice from older, more experienced members of the community we wouldnt have such bad publicity and the for sale section on here wouldnt be jammed with sh!te. FTB
  22. Whats your ground like ? Foxes never usually dig earths far away from a water source, so walk all the riverbvanks and ditches with a terrier that uses its nose (collered up). Try any dry field drains or any man made structures (farm tips, bings etc). Any steep sided bankings, or anywhere the soil is easier to dig into. You have to think like a fox and keep your eyes open FTB
  23. My spaniel bitch will not dirty the kennel ever, because she was house trained. In think its great, as long as you are there to let her out a few times in the day, as all dogs should be anyway
  24. "its prob a shite worker " How did you come to that conclusion? Maybe it escaped from a hutch, or was lost to ground. Hope you find the owner mate, if not give it to a good working home or chap it, wouldnt bother taking it to a ferret rescue centre. Cheers FTB
  25. Invite someone onto your ground (that you know and trust) who knows the score, It may seem easy enough, but things can go sour real quick if you dont know what your doing and no one likes digging to a dead dog. My advice would be read a few books, then go and speak to someone who has experience in working terriers.
