  1. Spot on Dave, too many people breed gundogs based on how many FTCH are in the pedigree, working ability must come first and foremost, which is something you cannot show in a 13 month pup. Cheers FTB
  2. "How do you know they're junkies? Been selling to them? They are clearly dodgy but don't jump to conclusions." It says hes from Airdrie, so chances are they were junkies FTB
  3. "Grouse keeper run off his feet that will be a first" Feeding chickens isnt really tough work either LOL, just messin. FTB
  4. 13 months is very young imo, just watch the shooters arent trying to blow smoke up your arse for a free line. My brothers lab is 20 month old, but was started when very young and has a full grouse and pheasant season under his belt already, as well as a lot of rabbit shooting. He will be getting put to a pointer bitch withing the next 6 months at which point he will be over 2 year old, just. It depends on how much the dog has done, was he easily trained, has he got good breeding? At the end of the day he is your dog, but you must breed responsibly. Tell the shooters if they wait untill th

  9. "he got s**t half way up the wall and plug socket" Sorry, had to laugh at that one mate! lol. Hope he gets better in time, and your a legend for taking him in, not many would. Just watch yourself with those vets, make sure they are diagnosing whats wrong with him and not charging you for metacam and antibiotics that will do f-all. I should know, shelled over a grand on my spaniel. All the best FTB
  10. Alan you are 100% correct. My gran has a serious health condition, a very honest woman who has worked all her life. She decided to apply for some sort of benefit and was turned down, it has put her off ever applying again. If you know how to work the system you can milk it for all its worth, makes me fckin sick. Honest people are not rewarded in this day and age, if you do well you are penalised (high taxes), if you stay married you get nothing. As soon as you split up, become a drunk or junkie you get everything handed on a plate. Who says labour is for the working man, its for the lazy scu
  11. I would say collars are worth 30 a pop, dunno how much finder is worth, proba bout 50 or summit like that(depends on condition of the stuff obviously). Sounds like an MK1 tho. FTB
  12. "Makes me laugth when people moan about what other people get If you all got laid off tomorrow or got ill or one of your kids got ill youd be straight down the job centre, council seeing what you were intitled to Mick.." Naw mate, id be out looking for work. Some of us have morals. FTB
  13. "any non native specices are not aloud to be released " Its alright bud, they are a law unto themselves. If it were you or me we would probably get bent over on the spot. FTB
  14. First of all i doubt it was a wild polecat, i have handled one and they are extremely viscious (not to be picked up in someones garden). Secondly whos genious idea thinks it will be a good idea to release a voracious predator into a nature reserve (the kind of dimwitted thinking we have come to expect from RSPCA/RSPB). Thirdly, most of the wildlife you have listed is vermin and should be treated as such. Fourthly, did they ask you for a donation Lastly, were you stupid enough to give them one? No offence ment, just my opinion. FTB
  15. When i say good dogs dont need advertising, what i mean is when i breed my bitch (after alot of consideration) i will keep two bitches, my close friend will get one and the rest will be humanely culled. I dont know enough good dogmen who i respect enough to let have a pup of mine. FTB
  16. Michael you are wrong.(is this the same michael who is police? talking about pre ban? what ban, decent dogs are still around) From my experience people with good terriers find homes for pups within a close group of friends. Anyone who comes on a hunting forum ranting and raving about their dogs then offers a litter of pups MUST have problems shifting them by other means. People who see working dogs for what they are, dont assosciate them with money. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but yours is wrong FTB
  17. "my mates trying to get hold of one to.hes not answering emails?losing buisseness! " Hold off a bit untill he comes back, his locators are well worth the wait, even if he does come back with a vag answering to the username emily FTB
  18. Problems arise when people let the winning of shows go to thier heads and start thinking more about pound notes, than digs. Most dogs around the shire are bred for hunting rossetes, not charlie. FTB
  19. Dont understand why you would want a terrier purely for marking rabbits. It will never be able to catch them when they bolt, then there is always the possibility of it going to ground after the rabbit. Why not get a wee whippet, beddie or collie cross lurcher, far beter allround dogs.
  20. Jeremy Kyle Noel Edmonds That slut from the weakest link Tosspot from the go compare advert FTB
  21. I dont agree with showing terriers. As soon as you start to breed a dog for one trait, it looses another (mainly working ability). How a terier looks is at the very bottom of my list of requirements. But there are some lads who do both. FTB
  22. Deffinately buy a crate, dogs dont like doing their business where they sleep (in most cases). Take the dog out for the toilet last thing at night, and if it persists, get up middle of the night to take it out. Persistance is key. Try and keep feeding to a routine, dogs like routine.
