  8. The jills and hobs can get a bit touchey during the mating season Our vasectomised hob has also nipped as well in the mid summer nothing savage just a little nip where normaly he is very placid ferret Never been able to find out exactly why they can turn a bit touchy during these months something to do with horemoans i expect But it is nothing to worry about and it will soon pass it dont mean your ferret has turned nasty its quite normal

  16. Sorry but i strongly dissagree with breeding just to sell them kitts can quite often end up in the wrong hands by owners who bore of them quickly when just sold to any old tom dick or harry We bred a small litter of 6 this year but they had already been homed befour they were born by myself and very close friends and if there had been 12 in the litter i still had good homes for them I understand that keepers want to breed a couple for themselfs and sell off the ones that are left in the litter but to breed them just to sell is wrong get a vasectamised hob instead please
  17. We had a albino hob with an undershot jaw a few years ago now and he was a fantastic little worker and a very gentle ferret his teeth didnt bother him in the slightest Im sure he will be fine if in doubt just take him to the vet to put your mind at rest

  22. Dont chase numbers mate just injoy yourselfs when i started ferreting at 15 we walked miles and miles and maybe only caught 1 rabbit but we were pleased as punch with it them early days i will never forget they are as bruce springsteen says the best years of my ferreting life
  23. As halfinch said noise above ground can be a major reason why the rabbits wont bolt try and keep the noise/talking to as little as poss this might improve the rabbits actually bolting but rabbits do unfortunatly go into stop ends and bottle up thats when you have to get the spade out and dig hot work this time of year PHEW
