  2. We got quoted when inquiring for a lady who wanted to get her jill jabbed £36 per jill No this is not a missprint £36 each the robbing bas***ds How can they justify this price 3

  4. We have a 10 year old jill and although now tends to sleep a lot she still has her mad dance around with all the younger ones now and again your jills got years left mate dont worry

Good on yer mate its always a good thing to educate the non ferreting people what ferrets and ferreting is all about So glad it all went well and the kids loved the ferrets and understood that ferts are not the horrid savage things they are sometimes portrayed as WELL DONE AND GOOD LUCK ON YOUR NEXT FETE

  8. The days of bitter cold long winters seem to have gone and i dont think we will ever see the likes of again although last winter was the coldest and longest we have had down hear in sussex for a few years now the winters now seem to be just mild wet and windy

  12. Hi all Does anyone on the forum know of a easier way of getting that slimey membrane off rabbit portions ? When you have got 10 or so rabbits to skin and portion up it can be a long winded process sitting there pulling it off one bit at a time I find the rabbit cooks much nicer with this membrane off if anyone knows a quicker way me and my finger tips would be very gratefull to know it please
  13. how old is ur ferret /s just start them on little burrys nothing to big try sending them down after a older ferret to start with soon they will be chasing rabbits out ive not had a ferret yet that hasnt worked you just get good and very good ferrets atb Very well put 8shot

Sorry to hear you lost your kitts mate but like kay said iv only just seen it as well Please dont take out your frustration on the members of this forum we can only give advise on past experiances we are not vets and you needed a professional diagnosis this is a good forum and you can pick up a lot of info by reading other peoples ideas

We have 2 triple and 2 double boxes like your one i think we paid £26 each for the doubles and 30ish quid each for the triple ones and although well made and weather profed they look very similar to the one you made if thats any help well done mate you made a good job of the box and i think you could sell em no probs

No touch wood never had any probs with badgers We seem to incounter a fair few mink over the years one of our permissions is next to a long stream and although plenty of rabbit holes we have put the ferret down and a few mins later the fert is backing out the hole with its tail and fur spiked up hissing like feck then you see the big black bas**rd down the hole hissing back Pick the fert up and give that one a miss BUT WE DO SHOOT THE SODS IF WE ARE OUT WITH THE GUNS

The ferts do seem to be a leaner in the summer even the hobs go a bit thiner sometimes its the time of year also with there summer coats make them look a bit rough so to speak Just make sure they have got plenty of food fur or feather preferbly but keep an eye on the flies or dry ferret food if not clean fresh water and they will be fine come the winter when they are not in breeding mode anymore and they have there nice thick winter coats they look like a different ferret
  21. Same hear hope all goes well with her We have had 6 of our jills spayed now with no probs thankfully
  22. Only use the metal ones now they are a tiny bit heavier but the extra weight is worth it coz they go in any type of ground never snap or rot wouldnt use anything else If you do prefere wood hazel is quite good and most hardwoods are good for making pegs everyone has there own prefrences
  23. It is highly illegal for this cricket club to spread myxi though very hard to prove Why anybody feels they need to spread this sickening disease is beyond me when there are plenty of ferreters out there willing to control the rabbits humanly ????????
