We dont use wooden pegs for that reason changed all our 250 odd nets to
the thin metal tent peg type give some a try we would never go back to wood again
As regards the draw cord on your nets change the cord and make them longer its a
easy fix and quite cheap too short cords are a pain
good luck mate whatever you decide to do
Sorry to hear the scum have nicked your fert mate
And as for the old bill doing anything dont hold your breath unless you are a motorist
doing 35mph in a 30 zone they are about as much good as a handbrake on a canoe
Well done lads for keeping your cool with these wan***s
Who the fu*k do they think they are that twat with the camera is a bully he only started
giving it large when he saw they were 2 young lads
I would love him to come up to us i would wrap that camera round the bullying twats fuc**ng head
NO never have kept em indoors mate
But there are a lot of people who keep ferrets as pets do keep them indoors
Apparently if you get the hob castrated or the jill spayed it cuts down on the odour
Not sure how true this is im sure someone on the forum can answer who keeps ferrets indoors
My old jack was a bit of a bast**d with most things from mice to other dogs
Yet the ferrets he was fine with he seemed to know what they were for and if they
went in the box we were going ferreting somehow he seemed to know and got on with
the ferrets ok
We just let them get to know each other a bit at a time and gradually increased the trust
and thankfully no probs
George my old russell lived to a ripe old age of 17 he died 5 years ago and i still miss him like mad
keep WET bar of soap next to you, if you happen to cut to low and it bleeds, push the bleeding nail into the soap, stops the bleeding and seals the nail
They say you learn something new everyday thanks for that stubby
Sorry to hear that mate there are some low life scum bags out there
Its not that ferrets cost a lot of money so why does this scum feel the need to steal them is beyond me
ITS PROBERBLY THE SIZE OF THERE LITTLE BRAIN THAT AINT WORKED IT OUT YET
We use it if we want to bribe the to stay still why you clip any nails etc
Its brilliant for that but doesnt seem to make any difference to there condition
It cost us about £70 two years ago but do bear in mind mate our vet is not
afraid or embarrased what he charges if you get my meaning shop around a bit
We took snakes1989 shooting with us a couple of days ago and asked him how the kitts
were doing they were fine then he phoned me yesterday and said he found them both dead in the bed
we asked him had he cleaned the cage with any chemicles or cleaned the water bottle with anything
what he had feed them the day before he said rabbit which was shot with my rimfire so its not shotgun lead
not that we av ad any probs with lead anyway
was just trying to understand why 2 healthy looking kitts would just die like this ?????
We are totaly at a loss to WHY
Hi all dont know if you remember a young lad called snakes1989 that started up on hear a few weeks ago ?
He asked for advise and was kindly given a few nets and some good info from members
Just to let you know he came out with us and shot a few rabbits with the rifle the other day was safe and done well
Will be taking him ferreting soon as we start at end of month he looks after his 2 new kitts brilliantly and he has already sorted
himself out some permission of his own once he gets the hang of things
he has the potential of being a good long life ferreter and its down to sites like this
