    The people that treat animals like this are normaly a bit touched in the head becase there is nothing up top to tell them any different so they think its ok to be like this to animals You have got to ask yourself why is this auction allowing these ars**oles to sell ferrets in this kind of condition ? the manager of this auction needs approaching and asking why this is being allowed to happen but i suppose one good thing came out of it people like you bought this hob and saved it from the ars**ole that kept it in this condition in the 1st place Good on yer mate for taking care of the

    Our oldest jill is 12 she lives in the court with 10 other jills and she still sorts them out if they push there luck with her she is a stropy old cow shes been a brilliant worker and never bit anybody she tends to sleep a lot now and can live her days out relaxing shes earnt it

    Try then on a bit of fresh rabbit skin on with all the offal in ie heart/lungs/kidneys etc They might just be bored of the same old thing or try a couple of pigeons see how they go hopefully its nothing to worry about good luck with it mate

    We make all our own nets and get the rolls of poly from bridport nets They sell the nets already made up in all the colours the most popular being the bright red white and yellows They will see you alright at bridport nets mate

    So you should be proud of it mate the net looks fine but the drawcord on the peg end dont look right it needs to flow freely through the ring on both sides and not wraped round the ring Please dont take this as dig mate just a bit of frendly advise keep on making them nets you will find it easier and faster the more you make good luck with it

    Have had good of both but prefere jills they dont seem to kill as much as hobs This is an age old question that nobody can realy answer as it is personal prefrence some swear by hobs some by jills if you can try them both or even better keep one of each good luck mate whatever you decide

    We have 2 big permissions on national trust and sussex wildlife trust land that we have done for years although they are not keen on you digging they understand that sometimes it is nesessary and are fine with it We do these permissions what ever days we want with whatever is needed ferrets /guns/longnets /lamping etc So not all conservations are clueless to what is needed to control rabbits effectively They have built up there trust in us over the years and we can pretty much do as we like

    Well done there brimmer and fantastic idea what you done with the atv bike We are in the process of trying to convert a little box trailer for all the gear except the ferrets they can stay in the back of the motor its getting a bit of a squeeze to get all 4 ferret boxes and our gear and rabbits if we get lucky into the back of the landrover discovery so we bought a little box trailer and going to hopefully convert it your atv bike has give me a couple of ideas thanks

    We make all our own purse nets and only ever use polyester as its a good alround cord to use Some ferreters swear by hemp some 10oz nylon its all personal choice but which ever you choose they all make your hands a bit sore when you 1st start making them your hands get used to it the more you make they are cheaper to make yourself and most important of all the self satisfaction you get when you catch them bunnies in your own made nets is priceless GOOD LUCK WITH IT MATE

    Is it ever going to stop raining ? every time we make arrangements to go out and do a bit of rabbiting it rains and if we go out when its not raining its does nothing but constantly rain when we get there you can live with the cold cos you can always warm up but when you are soaked and its cold it tends to p**s you off anyone else finding it hard to get out and do a bit ???
