  13. As I will probably be not be going shooting tomorrow I thought I might as well go for a walk tonight. Scanned the field as I entered and nothing about, walked across to the far end of the field and had another quick shine, this fox was just off to my left. Dropped him at 74 paces. So a good end to the year

  17. First dry night for a while, so I thought I would go for a walk. Got to the third field and there was a fox about 70 yards away, rifle on the gate post and down she drops. Quick scan and there was another 2 foxes about 100 yards away. No safe shot, and one was running like a bat out of hell and the other was trotting where the only backstop is a cottage, so left them go. Gets back to the car, and thinks I'll have a look in the first field again. At the far side of the field was a fox. I know from the gate to the hedge is 170 yards ish, took the shot off the gate, but must of pul
  18. I'm 90% sure this was the one I saw the night before. First time I saw it there was no safe shot. As it got the other side of a small valley, it was way out of my range and just stood there looking at me while I tried to call it in. It would of been in the same place at the time I first saw it last night
  19. I use: https://postimages.org/ and chose thumbnail for forums. Works for me and just up loaded a pic
  20. Got bored last night so thought I would go for a little walk. The wind had dropped to nothing and there was nearly a full moon out with a small amount of cloud, not the best weather, but what the hell. Walked up one field and got to a corner and went through the gate, nothing. 10 yards down the hedge is the gate to the field the other side of the hedge I had just walked up, looked through the gate and there is Mr fox, looking as shocked as me 10 yards away staring at me. Obviously he took off at a rate of knots down the hedge line. Got the rifle on the sticks just in time to see him g
  21. I don't bother with a second triangle, I just use a bit of twine
  22. A longnet is easy to make if you've made purse nets. Just start the net on a ring or a triangle, knit the desired width, then keep on knitting till you've finished
