  1. What are these like? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ultrafire-Cree-Q5-green-beam-scope-mount-lamping-kit-hunting-gun-rifle-light/300910440581?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131017132637%26meid%3D7d5762cbcfd042ada92c3b45620fd3f3%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D20131017132637%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D4%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D400721724749
  2. Yes. Thats where the switch is. If you look on the bottom of the locator, there is the same symbol and you can touch them together to turn on the collar
  3. Got a Mint TX200 Mk 3, would that be any good for you?
  4. Did you just make a single twine selvedge with that stuff mate yes, single selvedge for the purse net twine and double for the longnet twine
  5. Agouti does nice longnet twine. I have used his purse net twine for the selvedge

    Stop Net

You're right with the length, knit double for 100% bagging. The selvedge is knitted to the top and bottom, usually with a thicker twine. This does 2 things, helps to stop wear but more importantly changes the way the net hangs. TC can explain better than me. There is a thread somewhere on here about the advantages of a selvedge mesh
  7. Just over an hour from Pembroke Ferry Should be better than last year now it's in Pembrey
  8. Got a hedge impossible to ferret. Will have to be a longnet but still waiting for that north wind.
  9. You know I'll always put up with the cocker. He's better than no marking dog, work should be quieting down now, will give you a call in the week
  10. Bought one from Lidl £15 takes 3 D cell batteries, 150m beam, can't fault it
  11. Good to hear first drop went well
  12. If you mean is mesh is 3.75" then your net is 34.5 yards long. Working length is 17 yards with 100% bag. TC will comment soon to confirm. Out of curiosity, why such a small mesh?
  13. are you going to try a 5 yard net first this time?
  14. 87 meshes per 5 yards of net in 4.25" mesh is 100% bagging. But when you set it, if the bagging isn't tied in you can put the bagging where you need it the most. I hope that makes sense.
  15. Got to be the setting. All the gear and no idea you won't catch much. You might still get lucky and get the odd one
  16. I thought I recognised the pins
  17. You've hit the nail right on the head, we can theorise all we want, but none of us really know if any tactic is going to work untill you try it. There are some situations where long netting just does not work, then there are the ones where it should not work, but does? I think that the fact it can be so unpredictable, is what really makes it so appealing. There are very few "rules" when it comes to long netting and sometimes those "rules" go by the board. I think it's fair to say "If it works, don't knock it." TC
  18. That's about right. Have a look in the long netting section. Lots of info on there
  19. Gotta to have a go at that, how about it terry? Do you make the 12" mesh normal or a square mesh?
  20. Should be just like yours, I copied it, and its not posher just not seen as much action
  21. This is one I made
  22. Basicly all you need to get started is Twine, needle and mesh board
