could anyone who went to the creditors meeting report back on what happened. I was too ill to go. Phoned the liquidation company but was only told they were in liquidation with no assets that she was aware of. I was told to speak to my credit card company. Now at a loss as to who is officially responsible and which (if any) of them will re- emburse me. As someone who has never been in this position before am out of my depth here and would appreciate advice I didnt go to the meeting but did receive my creditor pack post meeting, essentially, the company has gone down owing more than £2

There speaks a lucky guy.....having the benefit of hindsight!!! Clearly he even forcasted the high street situation.

Mishandling deposits is a matter taken seriously by the Dti and the liquidator has to report on directors conduct to them. If there are any other instances like this then please let the liquidator know. As for the stock.....the liquidator is obliged to take best price so if the are other manufacturers out there, please get in touch with the liquidator and make a bid or at least register an interest.

My situation was similar to some others here in that when ordering my kennel, it was agreed that 50% deposit was taken, it was only later that I discovered the full amount was taken. I shall be writing to the liquidators with the full facts of my case, if others out there do the same, then a strong case can be built up against the director/'s.

All I can do is state the facts which are that Countrywide Kennels Ltd are being put into liquidation by the director, Richard Price and that a company called Timberland Leisure Buildings Ltd was incorporated in October and the sole directors is Richard Price!

For anyone who is interested or is owed money, the proposed liquidators of Countrywide Kennels Ltd are: Heathcote and Coleman. 136 Hagley Road, Birmingham, Tel 0121 454 4141 The creditors meeting is set for 9 December at which I would imagine some interesting questions may be asked of Mr Price. Anyone who is owed money must register their interest asap. By the way, his new company, of which he is the director is Timberland Leisure Buildings Limited
