    Thanks for posting this,having to get a couple of mk3 myself.Mk1s though second-hand and brilliant are too damned expensive for me.Did'nt know about the switch,do now thankyou. Went out myself couple of days ago,also only got two rabbits bringing on youngsters,so was happy enough.I must say though i could'nt do it without my lurcher,great job the dog she saves me alot of legwork.Im a lazy bugger too!Thanks again for warning.

    Hello just wondered if anybody has any ferrets that are coloured differently than the norm. Friend of mine had red coloured ferret not sandy,red. I keep three jills for working,nothing out of ordinary.silver,sandy with white chest white feet white stripe on the head,black-eyed white.

    I had a bitch that came in heat at 3 unbelievable i know,my vet who is a mate reckoned that she was too hard and well muscled,just like alot of female athletes. Funny thing is we moved house,didn't get her out proper couple of months nothing no working and she came in heat. Well she had nine pups and she was a collie/greyhound/deerhound. When i say the bitch was hard well muscled,judges used to always look under her check that it was a bitch. I reckon they all come in different,iv'e had them come in 10mths 14mths and the 3yrs,must be summat in the water,dont worry.

    Great dogs,had a racer x courser no show lines whippet few years ago,brilliant bitch. I had more injuries with the lurchers than with the whippet. Dynamic,bit loony at times,have a bitch now from matt slevins lines. Coming on grand,bit too ballsy.Luv em would'nt be without one.

    You dont say how she is bred,that would give you insight in to how she's thinking. Also it would help you to deal with it,you can not disciplin a terrier bred lurcher,the same as a whippet lurcher.Whatever the crack she's not listening,please tell me how she is bred? She is a bedy whippet x collie grey. thing is i watch her and when she is about to do something wrong she knows it is wrong because i can tell wih her body language, but she dose it anyways and waits for the big no.     Trained well a whippet will pick up feather,mine would even pick up a can beer. All in the training,and how you train it different dummies might help. When im doing gun dogs i put wings on dummy,then progress to pigeon,as if they will carry a pigeon they will carry any bird.

    I agree to,24inch. I love whippets my best whippet was also 19inch racing,coursing lines. Although just starting a nimrodel type at moment.

    Thanks chaz,wanted to know what to expect. As to fox that's fine i leave that to the guys who have dogs with the heart to do them(horses for courses). I tend only to hunt what i can eat. I hope your bitch recovers well,thanks again for the info.

    hi mate she has both bearded and border in her Thanks for replying,She also has beardie and border in her. I asked hancock for a rabbiting dog,for lamping and ferreting. Only getting a bit paranoid,always kept whippets for both jobs,thought i try something a bit bigger, but everybody who sees her reckons she'll be a monster(she is a monster)you know big.Hancock reckoned about 23inch,and that is what i asked for. Can you tell me a bit about her,what age did you start her?Letting mine at 3mths to watch nets at moment.I am asking as to lamping,collie bred dogs seem to mature a bit earlier

    Cheers for that!Have had a lot of let downs,yknow people saying they want one. Then they just dont turn up,they are great pups,well boned. Yknow they are ready when it sounds like world war 3.

    Both parents between 25,26 inches tall. Father black feathered saluki greyhound type,mother red fawn white socks. This line is well known to people who have been in the game a long time.
