  1. I teach mine the ferreting game first, but collie crosses seem to start earlier. Started my whippet bitch lamping last october, but ferreting came first. I wouldnt start until bitch was a year old,you can just mess the whole thing up. Had a collie greyhound whippet held him back too much, think it depends what type of lurcher you have, they end up self entering.
  2. I have a spayed jill she works really well!but because she works well i regret having her done.
  3. The first sighthound i had many years ago was an ex coursing bitch, she was dumped in manchester. Got her from harprey manchester dog home, she was institutionised(bloody long word) They get so routine with racing and so on,i know for a fact she was depressed. It took her 6mths to come totally right,i got her working and watching her come back with a rabbit was worth a million. She was about 4yrs when she came to me,and had a happy 9 yrs. I de-catted her and her basic training was really easy,i wish more people would take greyhounds on. She really took to hunting feather on many occasions ph

  8. Try vaseline,it apparently suffocates the bloody things, but surgical spirit, nail polish remover. Put it on saturate tick wait a couple of mins grab base of tick with tweezers pull out,i usually wait 5 10 mins you can see the tick releasing its grip.
  9. Try a different vets mine cost same as a cat £32 the rip off ba*****s
  10. Collie crosses have great feet, saluki aswell i would say.
  11. You can worm again, dont know what you feed but look up the BARF diet. It's bloody great, never have any bother, halves the amount of crap that comes out cause it's feeding the dog instead of going through it,people will disagree but i hate complete food. Dogs would have flat teeth if they were supposed to eat that crap.it is the equivalent of a microwave meal.
  12. Collie/beddy/whippet or greyhound maybe.
  13. They reckon you should alternate wormers, milbamax, drontal plus. Biggest thing nobody ever mentions is that you should allways weigh your dog,you could have under wormed the dog always slightly over worm. You can over worm slightly with drontal it doesnt do any harm, under worm and you dont get the bloody things out.
  14. I totally believe you!but whatever it was you were on im not sure i want any. lol.
  15. Cut and heal will shrink it and heal from inside, had some serious holes heals them very quickly

  17. Sorry not near you,I find that the best way is stop trying to pick her up.try letting her come to you. I put them in a smaller cage to begin with, before they go into main hutch. I have on occasion put that bitter lemon on my fingers y'know that anti-bite furniture stuff for pups, like fingers taste nasty. She's female mate,we bite when handled rough sofly softly, take your time.lol Then again i got hammered by a ferret nick-named EVIL scarred, looks like a vampire bite.

  24. NO food before travelling, make sure plenty air in car. Attatch small chain to bumper of car so that it touches the road, the sound of the chain seems to work for some.Sounds bloody barmy but it does work for some dogs.
