PELLET LUBE and Diesel Soaked Pellets!!
ulverston moocher replied to thorpedo's topic in Airgun Hunting
I used to wash my pellets with fairy washing up liquid then put them in a towel with a spray of wd40 wrap them to remove ecsess oil and then put back in pellet pouch only done this when I had springers years ago not tryed it with pcp but didnt ever make much difference so I dont bother no more straight out the tin into pouch then in gun. -
I would put bulldogs on a par with them there shit mate stay clear of them

al I wont tell you again please remove your avitar I find it offensive my nana was smoking that joint for her m.s so it was for medical reasons only.

my mate had a sweet 16 that allways jammed he only had it a fortnight and got rid seems to be a common thing with people not being able to cock them right I allways use a rod but I have a mate rang me up wanting to borrow my rod as he had jammed his rfle up but I was out rather than wait he put the air line of the commpresor down the barrel and managed to blow them out that way but I dont know if it would do any damage I think he was just lucky to blow them out.

I get £2 skined and gutted and £1.50 with the puddings out off salsburys fish and game and as many as I can get these go to london market twice a week and are sold for £8 each just for back half. I get £1 each of a couple of hound men as they are. £5 a hare of salsbury and he gets pheasent of the shoots 20p a bird so no point in selling him mine id rather eat them my self for that but like a couple of lads have said I do provide a few old queens with a off our estate with bunny's and the odd pheasent F.O.C

i'll give ya £160 sat morning. no thanks rj but would swap you for a 177 evo/fenman ive been after a fenman for ages didnt even know my mate had this gun so over the moon I belive the fenman have been stoped and the evo is the new revamped version dont know if this is entirely true but will give it a go Have you looked at the HW90K? I've had totally good service out of mine for over ten years and I can't really fault it. It's not got the 'exclusive' nature of the Theoben but as a tool, it's top notch. yeh I did own one for a bit I just wanted a gas ram to throw in my van and n

Try a heart shot? When ever I have the opportunity for a side on shot I never go for the head, unless that's all I can see, I always go for the heart, just behind the shoulder and slightly low and your bang on. I have found over the years this shot to take rabbits 9 times out of 10, instantly, the odd one that does seem to run off lasts only a couple of yards and then falls. Its the same for squirrels up trees, if I get a front on shot the cross hairs go in the middle of the chest, and this seems to lift them in the air and always dead on the ground, This method was shown to me years ago

Well done lad but I wouldnt put any of them through my guns they shit the barrel up and go all over the place try the air arms or some acupell proberbly find that your a lot better shot with a consistent pellet just a thought bud not trying to be a dick ed.

Well theres no point in flogging a dead horse theres bugger all around me in the line of bunny's so I think thats it for this season and hopefully it will be better next season I have seen a few young uns knocking about so fingers crossed.Dogs and ferrets get a bit of a rest its just ratting with dogs and shooting and plenty of pigeon, crow and squirel shooting for now unless there is a realy good night and I can not resist god I hate end of season especialy the end of a bad one.
-
When you go out and feed your ferrets make a noise every time for example I used to feed my ferrets cat meat when I had my first two and used to knock the meat off the fork on the edge of the tin and when my ferrets used to lie up or escape it didnt matter were they were tap a fork on a tin and they would come running and not just for food they knew it meant handling ,fun, exercise and of course dinner give it a try works realy well now I whistle them every time I go near there cage.

Dont mess about trying to get the rabbit out of the net just neck it and toss it aside get a net on the hole that you have tacken the rabbit from then you can piss about taking the burt out the net.
