  1. Have you tried any of the t torches in comparison I have the T20 in different colours with doublers on and they still cost a lot less than the nightsearcher and the range on them is amazing.
  2. 2.5 inches at 50 yards would be a hell of a windspeed. As said before check the clearance between barrel and stock
  3. Have you dropped the gun and bent the silencer i had a sling fail on my hmr and it fell off my back i thought I had caught it but the sak took a hit and bent on the thread I had a similar result and had to replace the mod to get the accuracy back
  4. I have a separate ammo safe and keep by bolts and certs in the lockable box inside my gunsafe, so if the worst happens they have three things to crack open before a shot is fireable, your feo will be pleased you have a separate safe for ammo just make sure its bolted to a wall.
  5. that looks spot on and will keep you busy for a while i have the seven gun version it's not as deep as the one you're looking at i have three scoped rifles and two shotguns in mine and thats the limit. Alsollook at buying a separate safe for ammo i know the cabinet has a lock box but you will probably find you want to store your bolts, magazines and other bits and pieces in there.
  6. that is rubbish they can grant rim fire for ten acres provided the land is safe enough to shoot i have been surprised at some of the land past for centre fire in the fact that there was very limited options for a safe shot
  7. Avon and Somerset would not let me have a centrefire on first application even with good reason to own one however a friend who applied a year earlier got everything he asked for
  8. I put a at44-10 .177 in the sale section a while back but didn't get any interest its a good and very accurate gun the only reason I was selling it is I want to get a .22 for more close range whack in the Barns. They are very underrated gun's they sold thousands of them but they don't come up for sale very often second hand i think there owners like them more than they would fashionable admit
  9. Anyone going to this I went yesterday and had a good day there were a few deals to be had one stall had brand new cz455's for £299. York gun's were selling Hornaday vmax. 17 hmr for £19.95 per 100 that's the cheapest I've ever seen them and i bought a hand made knife for £39
  10. Had a good day i bought a handmade knife for £35 and York guns are doing .17hmr Hornaday ammunition for less than £10 a box
  11. You won't get 5 guns in a ten inch wide safe 3, maybe 4 shotguns at a push
  12. Good luck using them in the 10/22 but I wouldn't hold out much hope
  13. gun ownership is a right you are intitled to if you pass the criteria for sporting purposes you won't get it for home protection and i wouldn't mention that again if I were you
  14. I believe they were originally used in fruit farms for keeping small birds mainly bullfinches off the buds and fruit. You could safely fire at the birds without fear of damaging the fruit. That gives you some idea of the power you are dealing with they are a folly and nothing more than a historic showpiece.
  15. A friend of mine has just been called in for a interview as they found out he has been prescribed anti depressants they were actually for treatment post op for a heart attack so they let him keep his gun's. At the moment i wouldn't think you have much hope of getting a fac when you stop taking them and stay off them i still think it would be a couple of years before it would be worth applying.
  16. I haven't got one but it might help if you say what calibre you have on your ticket
  17. a friend of mine has one it only cycles one make of cartridge i can't remember which brand but they were very expensive nothing else would work properly in it
  18. I bought a fill probe for a raider a few years ago from best fittings. the same probe fits the later axsor but doesn't fit the swedish version it was a good while back but have a look on their website
  19. when I asked the feo how long before I can get the ticket opened the quantity of ammunition used was quoted by him as a factor
  20. Watched the video for the tyranosour absolutely mental but realistically can it compete with the Hmr
  21. The footpath is still owned by the land owner, it is not in public ownership. but both of you arguing on footpath means you are not using it for its intended purpose and fall foul of bylaws My understanding is that if the path is on land owned by the landowner then you can legally shoot from the path provided you don't obstruct a walker from using it. I can't see any offence from a shooter arguing with a member of the public on a footpath on private land provided they don't obstruct their passage or threaten them, (Obviously arguments are best avoided), as the shooter has permission to
  22. The footpath is still owned by the land owner, it is not in public ownership. but both of you arguing on footpath means you are not using it for its intended purpose and fall foul of bylaws
  23. Also I might add if you do become unlucky enough to become involved in a dispute with a member of the public while out shooting make sure you do so while standing on the private land. Do not argue with them on the footpath you will be breaking the law
  24. People get confused by the right to roam term i have been involved in several incidents with members of the public where they are adamant that I shouldn't have a gun with me and I have to try and explain to them that the footpath is the other side of the field and it is them who at that point whilst arguing with me are breaking the law.
