i made my hutch to sizes provided on a ferret association site for two ferrets so they should be fine and yes i do have the room for more but was told this would be big enough. so is this best idea two jills and a hob or will the same happen? that is why i am asking all these questions in advance so i know and in regards to culling babies no this wasnt a plan but what would happen to ferrets you cant get rid of you cant relase them can you? if you want a starting point & have never kept ferrets before i will advise you to get 2 neutered ferrets from a rescue , then you have

i have rigged up a 30 yrd quickset in about 10z mesh and was wondering if there is a way other than the basket to carry and setit out, and could anyone give me some diagrams/videos whixch show how to pack and unpack it as i want to get out and into the bunnies but atm i am carting it around in an apple sack thanks a lot rob

i little bit of high tensile fence wire should work a treat you will need a vice and hammer to bend it at that angle but once done its really strong and its galvanised;)

shepp has a point as well i dont want to loose my pricey hob but i only have a 4x2x2' hutch which is not really good for three and my mum took long enough to persuade to have 2 . what happens if you take them away from their mum before that? does the mum suffer? Well even though the jill wont be feeding them at that age they learn a lot from there mother & imo it makes them well ballenced animals if there just left that few extra weeks, couple that with good food & handling & you find homes very easily for good sound animals mentally & physically. there was 800 rabbits caught testing these breakaway rabbit snares , so the problems were solved, the main problem that you will encounter is buying them from some of the people who copy them and can,t make them properly to my specifications , its the same with my breakaway fox snare eyes , as the young lad says geordie or woodga makes them good. ive have personally seen some of these copy snares for sale , do you wonder why i get pi#ssed of at times . one guy even fitted the breakaway fox snare eyes on back to front , i can understand your frustration mate, especially if you came upwith

i am going to get ferrets in the summer when i can handle them all the time and wont be going away again, but i was wondering which sex ferrets to get? i am only going to get 2 but idont know whether to get 2 hobs as they dont need snipping if theres no female about (but i dont want them going gay), 2 gills but thats £100 to get them spayed, a hob and a gill (£50 for one of them to be done ), or hob and gill au naturel and sell on the babies? advice grately appreciated

you can make longer ones of both types but because they are quicker and cheaper to make i use standard however some of the countrys best snareers are on here and they swear by figure 4

no as long as they are cobvered with a suitable tunnel (the definition of which is quite a controversy) they are perfectly legal
