i might have to get a 20 once i get my licence after i have saved up again. i have found a good bit of sport doing walked up pigeon shooting with the farmers 12 bore. you have to walk the boundaries of the feild if it has good thick hedges, and wait for a pigeon to break cover brilliant sport 7 1/2s are perfect for it too but dont handle the long shots too well with single choke s/s atb rob

so how should i set the nets to allow the ferret to pass beneath but the rabbit not to miss it? and should i train them with this ? also completely unrelated how do you work a bank which is one giant warren when you dont have enough nets. is it just a case of getting plenty of pairs of eyes and longnets and letting the stinkers run riot thanks rob

yes a couple of times i have bolted rabbits after he been through, with the other ferret but i will give it some more time i have done a couple of burys with both which had fresh shit outside and in the entrances but rabbits bolted, is this common any advice for the nets though because he is an absolute nightmare to work atm when he tries to get tangled

i have two hobs an albino and a polecat ferret, and after a few ferreting trips i have discovered that although bein sold to me several months back as previously worked by a guy off here that my albino is crap. he wants to wander off instead of going down the hole despite lots of runnin g round in odd places, and when he does bugger off down hes straight out the next exit, and now to the biggest problem, he hates nets i have tried getting him used to pushing them out the way or going through which his larger counterpart manages ok but he just gets annoyed and starts flapping about and tan

my motorbike(honda) did the whole clicking thing before but my problem was the cable going into the starter motor had frayed and snapped and was just arcing slightly. i had to trim and recrimp the cable and job done but i dont know about the big red but on my bike the cable is easily knocked, being close to the choke lever and such. so a similar thing could have happened good luck with it atb rob

i am doing countryside mnagement at college and i have to wear steel toe capped boots for all of my practicals. so what i need is a good strong budget pair of boots which will keep my feet warm/cool in the appropriate conditions and nice and dry from the weather. also be comfortale to wear all day does anyone have any recomendations? i tried every single pair at mole valley and found a really comfy pair of doc martins but they were made of a meshy typed material like trainers which i thought would be aboutt as waterproof as a towel thanks atb rob

i wasnt having a go mate i was saying that earning the money for it is more rewarding and you dont have to get a proper job just help out places and getting in on shoots is great to help you. i am a kid too 17 but i started a lot younger and my parents didnt like it you just have to perservere and show its not a fad, i helped a kid out before and he blew it back in my face by poaching and getting banned for being a dick so just ask for as much advice as you want and work your ass off for some cash and enjoy it. prove yourself on here and you'll be fine but its not about if you can type -
if you can get hold of him direct buy it that way because he gets more for it I THINK my mum bought it for me off play.com it is a great read though read it cover to cover several times GREAT!

that looks a brilliantly simple idea, well done fish and john i take it the sizes are secret until the book comes out? how do you kill them once they are trapped? do you think a larger trap of similar design would work for rats or are they too intelligent to fall for that atb rob

i will put some pics up when i have it completed but i really need some advice on this bit atm so i can do it tomorrow after my college interview so what does everyone do for a bed area in their dog runs so its cosy and warm? thanks rob

i have finished the main structure and cladding of my dog run now and only have to do some final flashing/sealing to make the whole structure watertight and add the guttering tomorrow but ironically i was rained off today after battling through to finish the roof. now i have to finish the internal and bed area. so i was wondering what other people do for this part. atm it is a fully open space with mesh on two thirds of the front and wooden cladding on both end and a third of the front. so in the cladded third i am putting in a shelf at 20" of the floor to get it away from the cold air at

Well said Rob, best of luck with your pup ! Nicola cheers it was really starting to get on my nerves. we put up the angle iron frame today everything minus the door and painted the whole thing which actually took longer than the making. so tomorrow is making and mounting the door and cladding the wooden parts and welding on the mesh. if i can get hold of it off the farmer. i will ask if i can have a bit of the food which they are on atm so i can slowly introduce it as i dont want puupy squits everywhere  i will order some of that food tonight they where quite quic
