I know quite a few lads on here use a lot of this agricultural kit. I need a petrol strimmer, I wondered if anybody can recommend one. It will be for occasional use. Do I need to go for a good make like Stihl, or has anybody has good experience with a lesser make. Cheers for any input.

That's a bit of a stupid comment, he believes or possibly once believed in the 70's that different races should not mix. It is a valid opinion, not one I share but still valid. The man is a legend and has bought a lot of pleasure to millions of people all over the planet.

Make sure you pull the fuse or turn off the breaker first

If it was me, I would change the pull switch first or disconnect the pull switch and connect the live wires together so the lights are permanently on. If that didn't work then I would drop the fittings out one by one starting with the one nearest the switch and check for loose connections. They will most likely be daisy chained together.

Are they all flickering and going dim at the same time, or are they doing it individually? If they are all doing it together, it would indicate a loose wire or faulty switch.

I agree....i wouldnt trust anyone who didnt have the basic manners to accept a handshake. Ridiculous that it's a difference in culture that's all If someone has a problem with customs of a country, then best stay the f**k away! They went with nothing, to a country that owed them nothing, and all that was asked for was a bit of courtesy. They have no place in Europe. -
I would immediately drive to the Thames and launch my electricians tools into it. Then look for a nice place on a Greek island, maybe Kefalonia. Get myself a personal dresser for a few days and have a full waldrobe of tailored clothes made for me in London, including shoes. New house here, maybe in Cornwall. Then help out friends and family that deserve a bit of luck to go there way.

I heard a good tip yesterday. If you water from a barrel, get a 4 or 6 pint milk bottle, make some small holes in it and fill it with comfrey, then drop it into your watering barrel. It works as a kind of tea bag. You can also add seaweed liquid to the barrel for even more nutrients. -
They don't talk much about how there are very few ethnic minorities in the army. There are many more Muslims in ISIS than there are in the British army.

Go and look at the Freelander 2 forum mate, you'll get an idea if it's worth a punt.Most people who own them, really like them. and a hell of a lot of ex-owners say never again, worked on enough of them, maybe the "3" is ok but the "2" is poorThey never made a 3, they stopped producing the 2 last year and that's the finish of them.

I have a 09 plate commercial version. Done 112,000 miles, still nice and solid, no rattles. Good performance, sure footed and is great for eating up miles on motorways. The mechanic I use is a Landrover independent and he said it is one of the best models produced by Landrover. Tried and tested Ford 2.2 diesel engine. I think it's a good motor and I plan to keep mine for some time.
