after all your advise on jealousy i decided to get a pup i picked her up yesterday i went for an 8wk old collie bitch out of competition working parents. jet has been a bit arsey but nothing bad and they seem to be tolerating each other i hope to breed them in a few years and keep a pup back for myself here are a few pics of her. this is the potential dad to future pups my dog jet, saluki/grey

thanks for your reply, i think the reason no one is voicing an opinion is that it is possible that a dog may harm a pup out of jealousy and no one wants to risk saying it`ll be ok incase it`s not has anyone heard of a pup being harmed?

i don`t want to start a debate but i like the way bigger dogs run rabbit it seem to be more exiting cos nothing can be taken for granted so i eill always go for a bigger dog and if you were to fancy a deer youv`e got the right dog. this is just an opinion but some people will always have big dogs they aint as good on rabbit but more exiting

hi i was thinking of getting a pup i already have a saluki greyhound, but i have a worry. my dog lives in the house and although he works he is as spoilt as f*** he does not like me fussing any other dogs unless he knows them he gets real pissy my worry is that as soon as my back is turned he`ll seriously hurt or kill the pup he`s a big dog and kills everyhing he catches before you get it to hand am i being paranoid or have dogs killed pups out of jealousy. your experiences would be a great help thanks

hi all just to say i think this site is great you seem to be a real community. personally my intrests are lamping rabbits, big and small with an eye on them big things with horns if i accidently let go of the dog when i see one. i`ve only been back hunting for about a year and even though there aint alot in this neck of the woods i nearly always come home with something. and i really do enjoy it and that`s what it`s all about not necesarily the size of your bag but the company you keep. my dog is a 23 month old saluki grey who looks awsome and even though he`s a stubborn so-an-so i wouldn`t ha
