  1. I paid £12 for P&P or there abouts and £2.10 vat, it was £6.40 a box. total cost was £26.90 for 400 DOC's. I will have enough chicks to last me 7 months or so! I would really like a female HH, when my male is going right. Just getting one when you want it is the obstacle. If anyone knows of any nice large females for sale let me know. Son wants one now, try flying a cast.....should be productive. Cheers for reply alan.
  2. I have only recently got my first HH and it is a 1lb 7oz youngster. I just got my first batch of Chicks from Honeybrooks yesterday evening. I paid £26.38 or something for the minimum order of two Boxes. I thought I could use the bottom drawer in our household freezer.....WRONG. I had to go out and buy a freezer out of free-ads, and that is full now! Even if I fatten him up I will have enough until doomsday. How many Boxes is 5000? How many Birds do you have 'Jasper'? Come to that, how many Chicks is 2 Boxes? I am real new to this game and this is my first Bird I have ever trained. I got him f

Does anybody know what needs to be done for owning and flying an Eagle? If it was possible are there any breeders in the UK for them? What sort of expense are we talking about?

They can also be delivered the weekend after......NEXT WEEKEND, to Sheffield area. I can't do any better than that. It should save several Hours travelling for someone and a few quid Diesel money. 6. Bumping this up again.....
  7. Bump....they really are priced to sell and worth every penny.
  8. ALL SOLD.....Pending cash arriving, thanks for looking.

    WANTED

I am trying to get hold of the above Bird. I would prefer one untouched and Parent reared, HOWEVER would consider entered Bird. I would obviously want and need to see it Hunt and get a 'feel' for her. I MAY consider a large Male again preferably untouched and Parent reared. I would also be on the lookout for any Falconry furniture, Books and accessories, feel free to PM any details you might have. Money waiting for RIGHT Bird and gear.
  14. Bumping this up.....the younger Bitch has been sold.....22 Month Bitch left and 6 Month Dog.
  15. Thanks to all for the PM's. I am sorry but unable to take Pictures. We don't pocess a Digital at the moment. I have a normal Camera somewhere, but need to get Film. I personally think if you need a Pic to buy a Terrier, you may be buying it for the wrong reason. I wouldn't buy a Terrier from a Picture, your Eyes and Hands will tell you what you need to know, when you see it in the flesh. No offence intended
  16. Bump........Will take Pics when I can.
  17. Will try to get Pics done for all those who asked via PM.
  18. I have 2 youngsters to sell. First a 22 Month old black Bitch, Gouldy Brightmore. Kept pretty much as a Pet since getting her so unspoilt and ready to bring on. She has ragged one or two bits and pieces but nothing more than that. Secondly a black male about 6 Months old now, again untouched, unspoilt well socialised. Old Nuttall /M Buck stuff. These are for sale through no fault of theirs and they are not culls or rubbish I don't want. I have to cut back or face a divorce and quite honestly I need the money too!! I am keeping all Males now and only 3 or 4 at that, about all I have time for
  19. Hi Lee. I am glad you were happy enough with the Birds. I truthfully don't sell on culls though, it is something I am known for and it takes a long time to get that reputation. I get a buzz out of selling something on and it doing well. A few I sold during that few Weeks have done well for their new owners. Thanks for the number Lee, I will try that too. I have a few feelers out with some 'traveller' Friends I have and a few Known British Breeders. Doing the rounds at a few Shows too. Want everything to be in and settled by beginning of January if I can. Fingers crossed.
  20. I am after pairs of all types of British Hardbills...will travel from Devon for the right Birds, within reason. I am also looking for intensive Hen Norwich Canaries (wishful thinking!). Anybody? I already check out 'Cage and Aviary' and 'Birdtrek' and 'Birdtrader', somebody might just have something tucked away somewhere..............
  21. These are Hobs and look like 5 Month old Polecat Kits, they are 3 Years old. There are two that need to be re-homed. They have worked Rats and Rabbits, 100% fit physically and mentally. Free to someone, who will come to get them in Devon.
  22. Reading through their Books is like a real History lesson. They have accounts of mostly Badger digs, with the occasional Fox dig if it was a good one, but they said most bolted to be shot. They only wrote down about digs they had to their Dogs, numbers of 'bolting' Badgers and Foxes would have trebled their tally. They said around August and up to mid September was hard to dig a Badger in a small place, they 'bolted' a lot of the time.
  23. I would definitely like to see the same Dog be dug to 5 times on 5 individual ADULTS in 5 different reasonably deep/large Setts, on the same Day. One hole each time, with no Trenching or 'honeycombing'. These are the sorts of Dogs that seperate the exceptional from the mediocre. Wish I had a spare 5,000 Euros!!!................
  24. I have recently spoken to a couple guys locally who used to dig Badgers, back in the 60's and early 70's. Obviously they didn't have the luxury of Locators, but they did have the luxury of time as it was a legal activity. They used to keep around a dozen Terriers between them, which couldn't be mute or over hard, they didn't want their Dogs to be 'laid off' for too long and mute ones couldn't be found. They culled quite rigorously and sometimes it meant the too hard and mute ones went..........Yes Locators have changed the type of Dog we can keep. It was interesting talking to them, eventual
  25. I want an over and under 12 Bore. Not too bothered about make. Will be used when out digging with Terriers and out and about Mooching, so condition not as important as safety, I ONLY want an Over and Under though. Would consider a semi auto, but may be too expensive for what I want to do with it. Got a Gun on permanent loan at the moment but it is a S/S and seen much better Days. I would like to give it back to the guy before it gives out. As I am only looking for a cheap Gun not wanting to travel too far, so something in Devon would be ideal. I am also looking for a .22 Pistol/Humane Ki
