You asked about the flight. If trying to breed pure pairs, I would have one pair in that size flight. If muling, I would use muling Cages first and then, when he has bonded, put two Hen Canaries and one Cock 'Goldy' or whatever in there and give him the choice to pick who to actually 'tread'.

What I have found, with Kennel set ups, is the sleeping bed is usually too big. I think this can cause messy Pups/dogs, too much room to be able to shit and piss their beds. I build a Kennel Run for them to be able to do their business in it, hence the drainage and Hose set up I put in etc. I would be gutted if my dogs saved it all up until I took them out!.......lol. I have had Pit bulls though, when on a Chain set up, which have turned and shat outside the Chain area, keeping the Chain and area clean........then I have been chuffed!

I see there are some Automatic Drinkers on e-bay. I HIGHLY recommend them. Used this type for years for Stag Pens and they make life so much easier and less mess when the Birds rake the Wire etc. If you keep the Birds on 'Farm walks' they are also ideal to set up 'Water stations'.

European size 58 is around a UK 48" Chest.

Where did he come from? Do you keep any others like this?

Changed my mind...........going down the 'pure' route.

I had a few 'democrats' and all the females were that colour.

FFS.....LMAO! Terriers with scars, Books on digging, Spades, Grafts, Bars, Couples, Boxes with traces of blood in them, Computer and a Mobile phone..........on the Wall a set of 'Tongs'........mmmmmm wonder what the Magistrates would make of all that?!!

Generally speaking, the feeds supplied for Animals like Chickens are 'maintenance diets', the minimum required to keep them reasonably healthy. If you have a supply of Broiler Mash use it, as part of a BALANCED DIET, but Chick Crumbs and then Pellets have more in them to help the Chicks with digestion and growth. I personally feed much better quality feed to my Game Fowl 12 Months of the year, better than most Racing Pigeons probably have. They have fresh water EVERY DAY with occasional 'additives' and are treated for internal and external parasites every 3 Months. Broiler Mash is 'OK', but...

I keep and breed the smaller type Ferrets and expect them to do Rabbits and Rats. I want them to have the size to comfortably fit in Rat Warrens, but also the tenacity to deal with any stubborn ones. MY honest, easiest and low hassle options would be Traps or Poison.........the 'sportsman' in me says Ferrets to bolt them and then..........

You will feel the Kits around week 4 of pregnancy, with a Phantom it is hormonal and obviously there are no Kits to feel. I have a Castrated male (no nuts) been told by several in another thread on here, he won't want to mate.....nobody's told him though. I was advised a castrated male, done at two years old and one which has mated a few times before. With castration there can be no mistakes, but don't know about an unmated youngster. I have seen a rescued castrated Mongrel Dog used on a female before. This was done before she was 'started' without the risk of Pups, so she wouldn't fire into a

Castrated Hob Available Here To Use In Sw Devon
Shamo replied to Shamo's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
Assuming the above is a genuine question. Polecats and Ferrets generally stay in season for a very long time, sometimes causing vitamin and mineral deficiencies and urinary infections. The longer they are in season, in the wild, the more chance there is of a male finding a female to mate with. It is the act of mating which brings them out of season, not being pregnant, so people, who have experienced problems in the past, like to keep a male who has been 'done' about the place. Worth their weight in gold to someone like me, who keeps several small Gills for working, but doesn't want loads of K -
As above, he is here and ready for work.........once we 'Iron out' the details.

It depends what you have done. A Vasectomy is different to a Castration, with the same result in the end. Although with one he keeps his 'tackle'.

I have one, with an Orange Dummy and a Box of medium range Cartridges. I would like £50 plus P&P for it.
-
Just get him in a darkened Box in a Room out of ear shot of any Canaries etc and get yourself a CD 'Easty' is a reasonable one to buy, there are others available. Put it on a Player using the repeat facility and wear it out playing it to your Mule. Better done when they are really young, but it can help. I know someone paid £250 at a Show in Ireland for a Hen and he really struggled to get his Mule singing Finch......lol. Start colour feeding it now and his colours will become more vivid as they moult back in.

I have had Birds from Eggs from a friend in Japan, direct, and some amongst them had Wattles and yellow Eyes. This Bird in the Pic does, however, look like a Mongrel to me and not my 'type'. This time of year no Game Fowl will look too clever though. Julia Keeling had some 'pure' Jap stuff come over, among others, it is the source of some them that were questionable by some. A lot of guys keep 'Show strains' in Japan too........That's it for me, the end of my Bi-Monthly contribution to the Site, lol.

Bantam Asil Or Small Reza Type
Shamo replied to forest of dean redneck's topic in Fowl & Feather Talk
You can't get an Aseel Bantam, so they would be a small sized Reza(Rajah) Aseel as you said. I have seen them go for £40 a pair, free and swapped for Ferrets.......price is what YOU want to pay. The females of some guys families were sought after to cross back into OEG/Yank families. Again, in a lot there is probably more Cornish blood than Asian. -
Some of the Thai strains now have a fair amount of non Asian blood in them, probably mostly established Yank strains like 'Roundhead', 'Hatch' and the really popular 'Sweater' families. To 'add' what they can to the mix. I had a number of Birds hatched from Eggs from Thailand, brought back by ED, many Moons ago. They are bigger than the ones I have seen becoming popular over more recent years. The Thais have always been smaller framed and leaner than uncrossed Shamo and Paki Aseels though. What you have to remember is that the Thai is mainly fought in 'Heels' in their native Country and are re

Breeding for Breeding sake, with no thought for Genetics and improving the 'working Terrier'.....................too much of it done over too many years. My opinion.

.........Yes and 99.9% of that 70% are complete 'Dunghills', not worth using up an indoor Pen for, in the Autumn and Winter!. I know several people who sell Asian Game Fowl and other Game Fowl type Eggs on e-bay, just selling off crosses and accidents to pay for the feed they need for the ones they keep. I know one guy who shakes every Egg before packing and sending FROM CROSSES and people still go to him.................I KNOW PLENTY OF OTHERS WHO WOULD RATHER EAT THE SURPLUS EGGS, THAN SELL THEM FOR GOOD MONEY.

Your POA (POINT OF AIM) CHANGES VERTICALLY WITH ANY VARIATIONS IN DISTANCE, BAND TYPE, AMMO SIZE, AMMO WEIGHT AND LENGTH OF YOUR DRAW. PRACTICE, PRACTICE AND THEN DO SOME MORE. AS LONG AS YOU ARE AWARE OF THE DIFFERENCES ALL THE ABOVE HAVE, YOU CAN USE ANY AMMO TO PRACTICE WITH.

the bird is kept on a raptor post this was used just for a picture dont jump to coclusions READ WHAT I WROTE......PROPERLY. Many newcomers are getting into the 'sport', unfortunately using 'you tube' and other sites to get knowledge. 95% OF WHAT YOU SEE ON THERE ISN'T THE BEST INFORMATION and the Perch in your Pic is far from adequate to keep any Bird on, in my opinion, although guys looking might take it that it is ok. Trying to encourage guys into the 'sport', to be more thoughtful and responsible. If you can't see that and only see me as being a "Bell end"...........Pot and Kettle.
-
IF THERE ARE ANY NEWCOMERS/PROSPECTIVE NEWCOMERS FOLLOWING THIS THREAD, DO NOT USE A PERCH OF THE TYPE USED IN THE PICTURE ATTACHED. The guy who owns this Gos, obviously, doesn't care that much what he uses..............in my opinion, due to the above response. It is just about a Perch, BUT not a suitable one to keep a Bird on. Hence my recommendation to newcomers/ prospective newcomers NOT to get hold of one like it. He could say "it was just for the picture", however the 'responsible' thing to do would be to take a pic with the Bird on a Perch which WAS suitable, just as easily. I am not suc
