when a pcp is cocked all that is happening is the hammer spring is being compressed.the compressed air only comes into play when the spring is released(trigger pulled) knocking open the valve and releasing the appropriate amount of air for the shot.
what you need is a corsak laser if you can get hold of one.it has windage and elevation turrets like a scope, brightness control and a very small red dot unlike the cheapy lasers which can be as bad as a one inch dot at 10 yards.
you might be able to pick a second hand one up on the airgun forums as i don't think you can still get them new.

like this.
Cheers I will try that, thank you. I know these are supposed to be a really accurate gun. and I love it fits me really well.
no worries mate, let me know how you get on and if you're struggling i'll try and suggest something else.
i you sure its the pellets mate?are they not clipping the silencer on the way out?all the axsor made guns i've had haven't been particularly pellet fussy usually liking the AA diablo a lot.
try a group of pellets without the silencer on first just in case it is that though,it could save you a fortune in pellets.
i've never used these pellets but at around half the price of a decent tin of pellets i can't see them being too clever.
the 4x40 scope only has the same magnification as the 4x32 (4x mag) so will make little,if any difference to what you have.it might make a clearer sight picture if it is a better quality scope but the mag will be the same.
Yes, he should have one of those helmet cameras.........................on second thoughts who the hell wants to know what the inside of his pants look like......bin that thought.
ATB
Michael
more chance of seeing hairs in his pants than rabbits i'd of thought
well as long as they're his.......
cheers for the kind words freddy.like most farmers i don't think he's particularly bothered about how they are killed as long as they are and also as a point of interest aparantly a farm hand has also shot around 90 with a 410 (shotgun).
its been a labour of love, thats a fact mate.
193,plus about 30 ferrals.what with the late light nights this might be our last visit for a while but hoping this will allow the numbers to build up again.
Now that's very reassuring half n' half My scope is all the way forward right now so this will not be too much of an issue. Already I have an IR laser plus illuminator and to top it off I've got a very expensive IR passing filter that fits onto my Cluson lamp.
I tested the filter on it's own on my lamp using my dads night vision monocular and to my amazement I was seeing stuff at nearly 400m very clear
This is just an introduction for me getting into night vision shooting as I don't want to keep changing scopes all the time to go out shooting. Maybe in the future I'll get another Rap
i've had one of these (moved on since then)
once you try NV you'll never look back.the unit you're getting does comprimise the eye relief with the scope so the best thing to do is mount the scope as far forward as you can get away with for daytime use which will help with your head position when you ad the add on.
the illuminator thats with it isn't bad but you can improve distance and clarity by investing in a laser illuminator.
