  1. have you tried ringing webley.they collect the gun, service it and return it to you for £94 all in.
  2. i suppose if they're no good you could just eat them.
  3. when a pcp is cocked all that is happening is the hammer spring is being compressed.the compressed air only comes into play when the spring is released(trigger pulled) knocking open the valve and releasing the appropriate amount of air for the shot.
  4. what you need is a corsak laser if you can get hold of one.it has windage and elevation turrets like a scope, brightness control and a very small red dot unlike the cheapy lasers which can be as bad as a one inch dot at 10 yards. you might be able to pick a second hand one up on the airgun forums as i don't think you can still get them new. http://www.nightvisiongear.co.uk/Night-Vis...rs-Corsak16.htm like this.
  5. surely any significant loss of power would change the point of impact at 30 yards so the pellets would be hitting low/falling short?
  6. Cheers I will try that, thank you. I know these are supposed to be a really accurate gun. and I love it fits me really well. no worries mate, let me know how you get on and if you're struggling i'll try and suggest something else.
  7. well done fella.you don't need a load of dogs to catch a good amount of rats, thats a nice size 'pack'
  8. i never was very good at ordinance survey
  9. i you sure its the pellets mate?are they not clipping the silencer on the way out?all the axsor made guns i've had haven't been particularly pellet fussy usually liking the AA diablo a lot. try a group of pellets without the silencer on first just in case it is that though,it could save you a fortune in pellets.
  10. china with a one billion population obviously don't have enough hares to go around.
  11. i agree the tri colours should of been 'allowed' in the breed they look much smarter than the straight red and whites.
  12. i've never used these pellets but at around half the price of a decent tin of pellets i can't see them being too clever. the 4x40 scope only has the same magnification as the 4x32 (4x mag) so will make little,if any difference to what you have.it might make a clearer sight picture if it is a better quality scope but the mag will be the same.
  13. in .22 the fn12 around 35-40 good shots and the fn19 around 70-75.
  14. the shot count will depend on which length it is,fn12,fn19 etc,the longer air tube holding more shots. fill pressure is around 180 BAR.
  15. Yes, he should have one of those helmet cameras.........................on second thoughts who the hell wants to know what the inside of his pants look like......bin that thought. ATB Michael more chance of seeing hairs in his pants than rabbits i'd of thought well as long as they're his.......
  16. this'll be live on sky next
  17. cheers for the kind words freddy.like most farmers i don't think he's particularly bothered about how they are killed as long as they are and also as a point of interest aparantly a farm hand has also shot around 90 with a 410 (shotgun). its been a labour of love, thats a fact mate.
  18. 193,plus about 30 ferrals.what with the late light nights this might be our last visit for a while but hoping this will allow the numbers to build up again.
  19. to be honest i was a little dissapointed we didn't make the two ton mark but numbers are down, and so they should be
  20. nice terrier mate, looks to have nuttal ears on it.
  21. aren't you forgetting the scope,around £150 new,and pump,around £120 new. sounds a bargain now.
  22. i think the NV he used on those vids was digital, different to the type in question.
  23. Now that's very reassuring half n' half My scope is all the way forward right now so this will not be too much of an issue. Already I have an IR laser plus illuminator and to top it off I've got a very expensive IR passing filter that fits onto my Cluson lamp. I tested the filter on it's own on my lamp using my dads night vision monocular and to my amazement I was seeing stuff at nearly 400m very clear This is just an introduction for me getting into night vision shooting as I don't want to keep changing scopes all the time to go out shooting. Maybe in the future I'll get another Rap
  24. i've had one of these (moved on since then) once you try NV you'll never look back.the unit you're getting does comprimise the eye relief with the scope so the best thing to do is mount the scope as far forward as you can get away with for daytime use which will help with your head position when you ad the add on. the illuminator thats with it isn't bad but you can improve distance and clarity by investing in a laser illuminator.
