  1. a while back i seem to remember somebody on here selling new theoben gas ram struts.can anybody tell me who it was as i'm after one for a swebley stingray carbine. cheers, h n' h
  2. sounds almost certain its out of line and clipping. you could try loosening and turning the silencer adaptor. i'm guessing its a .22 gun.if its a .177 its way out of line. if the turning doesn't work you can gently file the silencer down on same side as the clipping where it joins the adaptor which will pull the silencer over giving it enough clearance.
  3. i don't think there is an answer to this one mate. you'll just have to give it a try, given a little time she either will or she won't.
  4. Good story mate. made the local paper mate
  5. a few years ago i thought i'd try a s16s so bought one second hand.when i went to pick it up i had no case to put it in so left the house with it in a bin back with maybe a few inches of barrel showing. after traveling home and being in the house maybe 15 minutes a received a phone call from the wife of the person i bought the gun from telling me that the armed responce unit had just raided their house making her walk down her front garden, hands on head infull view of neighbours etc.the main road out the front of the house was blocked off both ways and the police searched the house even takin
  6. thats a good deal, and it'll build your arm muscles up no end.
  7. great gun like all axsor varients. accurate, reliable and good honest build quality.
  8. the longbow is a vast improvement on a lightning imo. had both and a real no contest. as far as i know yes they are all screw cut to take a 1/2 inch unf silencer. do it get one.
  9. a few like that add up to a FAIR few if taken on a regular basis, every week or two. yeah mate they add up over the year.im happy to go out and only catch one rat.....................as you know i have to go out late at night sometimes just to see a rat on my permission and i often dont catch anything. keen or mad im not sure,it costs a fortune in diesel. you're gonna have to cut down on those foriegn holidays until next time from one regular ratter to another

  11. to raise the point of impact you would put the piece of negative inside the rear scope ring at the bottom. you'd be better off putting a couple of bits in and winding the elevation back a bit so its more central. be carefull when you tighten the mount down not to overdo it as it can dig the negative onto the scope making nasty crimps.
  12. looks more like a HW100k t to me. good shooting.
  13. put a baloon over the fill plug holes and see if it inflates.if it does then pm me and i'll explain how to remedy it.
  14. sounds like it could be a brocock enigma which is a nine shot take down pcp.as accurate as most and although not a good second hand seller its worth the money he's asking with all the extra's.
  15. the hw80 was made to run at the higher power and is detuned for the 12lb market. much sweeter at the power you're after i beleive.
  16. take plenty of money with you. being a big 'name' he knows how to charge. plenty of other guns out there just as accurate but at a more reasonable price.
  17. you are right bsa did offer to change the barrel but it was going to cost something like 150 pounds and i didnt know if the gun was worth it what do you think cheers for that money no its not worth it.the spitfire isn't that good of a gun to spending that type of money on. you could pick up a good second hand entire gun for that. try putting a wanted add on the bbs for a barrel,i think the lightning barrel is the same so there's a good chance of getting one,but don't quote me on that.
  18. firstly the BSA spitfire is a PCP. it has an unusual cocking system, breaking the barrel similar to a break barrel spring gun but the cocking action is much easier than cocking a spring gun. the reason for this is that you are only cocking the hammer spring which is a much smaller spring than is used in a spring gun. cutting the barrel on a PCP will not only affect accuracy on a PCP if not done correctly but will also reduce the power of the gun. there were two types of spitfire made the high fill which uses a probe filling system similar to other PCP's and the type you have using the buddy
  19. you're getting the point in the wrong place buddy,its.22 and .177. i use .22 for close up and .177 for mid to long range.
  20. i'd say it depends on what type of shooting you do. if its static podding then the s type could be the job,but i wouldn't want to hump it around on a long stalking type sesion. for me the hw100k is a much better option for alround hunting, shorter, lighter, quieter and just as well made. yes a much lower shot count but how many shots does a man actually use on one hunting trip.
  21. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...sult_type=posts if this link works then all will be revealed keeps. if not then its quite simple.phil wright has changed his computer, his email address and has reregestered as pointer. the main reason being people were mistakingly beleiving phil to be his real name but also like me he is not too clever with the old PC's and this was the simple way to do it. mystery solved.
  22. nah can't be,there's no sheep involved.
  23. and here's me thinking you needed at least ten terriers to take rats in any number.and you gave the lurcher a day off!!
