  4. dont argree with calling a dog a twat but maybe its following in the footsteps of its owner :11: whoa, im a prick not a twat!! hes very nervous, and just needs quiet handling, no ruff handling, hats what ive worked out so far. Just wwondering where the behaviour came from.
  5. I have a four month old, saluki x bull whippet. I was wondering if the saluki is making him rather arogant and shy. Any ideas would be greatfully recived. I will post a picture of him asap.
  6. They are decent. The father of my Saluki x Wippet/bull, was a monster. Hares and foxes were no problem. ill try to find a picture of him. nice dogs.
  7. Patterdales arer hard dogs, its the breeding and what they were originally used for. By me we have a lot of old mines, and deep deep earths, where the dog needs to have balls if he is to stay. Patterdales are purfect for me. My first one was my fisrst dog <you>ever</you> , she chased stock, fought other dogs and genereally run riiot, till i start to displince her, and then she became better with stock and other dogs. But unlike other patterdales she took 3 years to enter to ground, last christmas infact. (legally though on the shoot)
  8. Hounds are kenneld togther, with mixed sex in pens. weve never had a problem up the farm. I suppose it depends on the mentality of the dogs though.
  9. If you can remeber i posted a pic of my first lurcher on this site a few moths back, the one with the story of mange. The ill looking little runt. well this his him at three moths old. a bad photo i know, ill get a betterone in the morning. As you can see he is looking good compared to before!! Also, ive just come in from a quick flash across the back fields with my mates two young dogs nhis bull x cross. The fields are perfect for young dogs, nice flat and open, with numerous rabbits. We scanthe hedge and see a nice big fox, slip the bul cross, and the fox gows up the tree followed

  14. well ive never had one before, but the paernts were pretty decent so i bought one, he was rather quiet, now hes very active and getting bigger and bigger! Showed him the ferret for the first time today, he didnt even snap, just playfuly pawed and played with it, unlike the patterdale, who went sraight for the kill at about 17 weeks lol :11: he should be a nice dog, just bring him on slowly like.
  15. yeah she is a bit fiesty, eveyone calls her the sheep or fluff. She took a while to enter to ground, but shes had a few go's now.

  18. he looks ausome, honest. Nice black coat, got a bit of bull in his head, hopefully will make the grade, ill ge a photo tommorw. The child did have a beating and his fatehr has taken all his doggs off him, even his machine of a lakeland.
  19. Last year i was lamping with a friend of mine, and he had a cracking saluki dog, and a lovley honest Wippet/Bull. Due to certain circumstances the bitch was given away to a local farmer son. When i heard the pups were for sale, i went over to the farm to buy one. The farmers son is a lazy fu*ker at the best of times, but i always thought he wasnt lazy with his dogs. The pups and Bitch were in a kennel about 4"4ft, and all had mange. The pups were about 14 weeks and hadnt been takne off the bitch, her teats were huge drooping and red raw, the pups werre bald. They ahd been in the same bedding s
