  1. Nice post Southern I find that the best shooting is always from a static position over a well watched and noted flight line for birds or feeding spot for different quarry. IE pheasant feeders. Rats, squizzers, magies and other corvids love to hand around them and wait for lead poisoning Zini
  2. Hi Tony, You are starting to get all tactical mate I like the Phantom Hide Nice write up fella as always. Si
  3. Nice write up and good photos mate. Its always nice to smash a few rats. Zini
  4. Hi all here is the post from last nights bunny shooting session that me, Reggaeman, Wuzzy and Kev1986 went on. I picked Kev up from his house just on the outskirts of Darlington at about 1810 hrs and we then drove back the 30 minutes to my permission and straight into the my zero range to have a look at Kevs BSA Lightning to see if it had lost power as he thought. A chronograph session before Chris and Joey arrived proved that the Lightning has lost power and was just pushing out 8.5 FP with Webley Accupels . On closer inspection I spotted that the tiny seal in the breech was sp
  5. Kev private message me your mobile phone number for tonight mate. I tried to message you back but i dont think my PC security for some reason is letting them out. It could be that ive tweaked it to make it very secure and thats the problem. Ill have to have a look at it when ive got more time Si
  6. Hi Bedrock, The Patterdale is 4 mate and game as hell. Both his parents were very good fox dogs and his working pedigree is Nuttle x Wheeler for about the last 9 generations of dogs mate. Someone also through in a bit of Irish Staff into him about 4 generations back cross Nuttle dog to make him a bit bigger. I think from all accounts they wanted a bigger terrier to kill bigger illegal black and white animals if you know what I mean. Just for the record I don’t have anything to do with that stuff mate, and use him for bushing, marking and killing anything small like rabb
  7. Thanks Sib, I have been shooting an air rifle for almost 24 years now mate since 13 years old. My Uncle was and still is a game keeper in the Midlands so i gained alot of experience from him with air rifles and catapults. Ive been known to have killed a few bunnies with catapults as well mate in my time, but wouldnt attempt it any more. It was a boyhood thing. Since the start of March 09, so nearly 10 months i have been shooting nearly every day so its sort of ramped up the experience quite alot mate and improved my accuracy. I have been shooting a .22 calibre most of them 24 y
  8. That looks lovely mate. Did you put the weaver rail under the stock? Having the laser there will mean that you will be able to lase the distance to the bunnies very accurately due to the wide angle between the scope and laser. I reckon that you should be able to lase a bunny to about 2 to 3 metres accuracy over 50 metres, so really good. Si
  9. Kev i live live just 10 minutes from darlington mate. i have a chrono if you wish someone to test it for you mate. I will also be shooting tonight with Reggaeman and Wuzzy on my permissions so if you want to pop up we can have a look at it for you. I dont know a good one in the local area mate but if you want someone to do a dogs nads job on it then you need to take it to Sandwell Field Sports in West Bromich. There is a man called Tony Wall who works there who is in my mind is the best gun smith in the UK. What he cant do or dont know about any rifle isnt worth knowing. I have
  10. Hi everyone, Here is yesterdays footage . I decided to try out my new Weihrauch HW100KT on my permission to see what it was capable of doing. I ended up with a 20 metre rabbit shot perfectly in the brain . A 25 metre wood pigeon shot between the shoulder blades in the sweet spot. A 30 metre crow shot straight through the neck which didnt even know it was shot until it hit the ground very hard. A lased 52 metre jackdaw, that if you look carefully will see the FX pellet smack it in the head perfectly . I hope that you enjoy the footage. Here is the link
  11. Hi Sib mate, I have made a video I made one yesterday but due to my internet dongle being really slow at night i wait till mornings to post it as its loads quicker then. I made the small clip yesterday Ill post it now on a new thread mate in the forum. Dont get me wrong Sib mate, the 100KT is a super smooth and super accurate rifle that knocks vermin over easliy but i just love my R10 more. Accuracy wise i dont think that there is anything between them both really but the feel of the R10 is much more better in my shoulder so i think it fits me better. The Weihrauch is
  12. Top notch as always Davy mate Nice shooting and great write up. You seem to have fallen in love with that Air Arms mate. Dont you take the 100 out anymore or are you just resting her? Si
  13. Cheers Kurt, I'm sure Chris will be happy to read that Gary, I know what you mean mate. I didnt even think once about letting my R10 go. That rifle is a keeper for life. To be totally honest mate the HW100KT is a brilliant rifle and handles well so i see why people love them so much but in my own opinion and ive shot them both now it isnt a patch on the R10 mate. If one was ever to go which it wont it would be the 100 anyday. I said that to Chris today when i phoned him too. Si
  14. What PCP you looking at getting Rascal? A BSA Ultra is a mint PCP mate and well worth a look at. I was always sceptical of them until I seen one in a masters hands at work mate. They are out and out vermin destroyers. Zini.
  15. Gary, Sorry mate i cant shoot Saturday night as i have my works function too. You know which one i am talking about mate dont you? I'll try and make a date with you sometime next week if thats ok with you mate? You managed to sell the Pro Sport yet mate? Your kid posted last week i believe that you were selling it. What you looking at getting pal? Si
  16. Shame its the works Christmas function tomorrow night Gary as we could have had a huge bunny bashing session together. You got that new phone yet mate so we can chat again? I feel like you have fallen off the end of the world mate. Si
  17. Reggaeman, I know that you love him mate so I’ll treat you to another photo of him He is hyper at the moment and wants to get out and kill something. He needs his fix . He’s out in the garden at the moment waiting for next doors moggy to come on the garden and have a play My money is on him , what you reckon mate??? Si
  18. No problems mate, you reacted like i did when i first saw it. Its flipping lovely mate. I am happy that i have been of help. Si
  19. It was a mint gun Marksman to tell you the truth but i need a reliable gun with the amount of shooting that i do so im glad ive got the R10 and 100KT Si
  20. Hi Reggaeman, Here is the brand new Air Arms S510 SL carbine that I’ve got for you mate . Just look at the woodwork on this rifle. It’s lovely Chris and I know that you will love it . Let me know what you think pal. Dont forget to bring up your scope and mounts when you come up tomorrow mate. I'm sure with this baby you are going to hammer the bunnies up on my new permission . What’s everyone think of Chris’s new bunny basher ? Please leave comments for Chris. Si
  21. LOL, they never did with the BSA R10 either Stealthy Rabbit, Your a horny little rabbit tonight Is it something in the water down there where you are? Zini
  22. Hi, James seeing as you are from Canada mate, Ill try and answer your question as if i was in your country with your higher powered air rifles. Yes both calibres would easily kill a hare, no problem what so ever. I believe your rifles fire at something like 1200 feet per second. Body shots we dont do ever unless we can guarentee a heart shot mate. A high powered air rifle that we call FAC or fire arms certificate rifle in .177 would shoot straight through a hares body mate and cause wounding and a slow death. I wouldnt advise it friend. Stick with the head shots if yo
  23. I agree with you John mate, I have a FX stage 4 with the gear system. I pump both my R10 and HW100Kt with it. The 100KT pumps in about 1 minute and the R10 in about 4 minutes. There is no problem with a pump and i find them better than lugging a cylinder around. I sold my 12 litre cylinder about 1 month ago. Zini
  24. Nice post Davy mate . I also learnt some new stuff there buddy. I didnt know about the "The law makes no distinction between air rifles and more powerful guns for which you need a licence". See lads its good to talk Si
  25. Is the gun a brand new gun mate or a second hand one? If its second hand ask the person selling it to you to let you have a few shots with it at range. IE the zero range to see what it zeroes like with the pellets that he uses. Ask him about .20 pellet prices and than make up your mind friend. That’s my advice but I’ve never owned or shot a .20 calibre rifle so I cant say more than a scientific approach like I’ve suggested mate. Zini
