Do a search for a rifle called the Edgun mate. It was originally designed in Russia and called the "Hooligun" and now modified by the Americns and called Edgun. Its the next PCP on my buy list. Its very powerfull Ill post the link to some footage on here. Nice footage there Davy pal , What was interesting was that there was no hold over required from 25 yards out to 39 yards with the .177 calibre. Thats a really handy thing to have in the field. With my .22's there would of been a great difference in hold over ranging from .5 of a mil dot hold under to 2 mil dots hold over on x10 mag. I bet whacking them 40 yarders is really easy with no wind. I can see why the calibre is so popular. Si

Jenks, I bought a 60GB Panasonic SDR-H81 HDD video camera with 70x optical zoom for £219 in Currys, but there are cheaper ones in there and much more expensive ones too. The 37mm to 43mm camera adaptor was from EBay for around £3 The 3.5 inches of 40mm plummers pipe was about £3 as i had to buy a foot and cut it down to 3.5 inches. The glue gun i already had, but they are about £5 from Wilkos. The reason i needed 40mm was because my Tasco eye peice is 40mm. The rubber fixing grommit that i am going to use to fix the pipe to the eyes piece was about £1. Zini. Hi

Hi Jai pal :welcomeani:, If you have the money to buy a BSA R10 then i would say go for it as you will have a brilliant rifle pal. I shoot a .22 calibre R10 and cant rate them enough. They are accuarte and consistant due to the excellant regulator and they hit hard with 16 grain FX pellets. If you want to quiet the rifle down then buy a extra SAK silencer for £33. Its well worth the extra bit of cash. As already stated the Weihrauch HW100KT is also another mint rifle and i own one of them too. If you want to shoot from a vehicle then go for the Weihauch as its smaller

Air Gunner, What you will have to do is go to a range or a large field and set out targets at 5m or yard intervals. Shoot the bulls eyes on each target on x9 mag and see where the pellet impacts on the mil dots when looking through the scope. Note where each one falls and then remember them. Next time you come across a target estimate the range to it and then use your new mil dot method to hit the target cleanly. Zini

Nice shooting Kev buddy, Its good to see that the BSA is now tuned and back in action cracking vermin I see you have learnt your mil dots well pal Your guns hold over is the same as my 2 pal so i guess your gun must be pushing out about 11.6 FP ish. 40 yards or 36.5 metres is also 1.5 mil dots hold over on my guns to and 25 metres requires also .5 of a mil dot hold under. Ill give you a phone when i get back from Germany pal and we will have to get out again bunny bashing. Si

whats wrong with my scope
zini replied to youngferreter09's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
If your scope wont move up anymore to meet your zero point you will probably find that you will have to pack your rear scope mount mate. All you do is 1. Take off your scope completely. 2. Cut 2 or 3 pieces of old camera negative film to the size of your rear mount. 3. Put the scope back on the mount resting on the negative on the rear mount. 4. Tighten the top covers on the mounts concentrating on the front mount first cross ways, followed by the rear mount, cross ways and that will sort your problem pal . Your scope will now have up/down adjustment Zini -
Yes i aggree with Darryl , Range finding is a skill that is taught to soldiers at a very early stage, with the exact method that he uses. i still use it myself sometimes. I used to be a surveyer in the military years ago for many years and measuring distance with steal tapes, directors, stadia rods, sub tensing and pacing was my job. After time you can accurately guess distance in your mind as Marksman explains due to experience and using items in your mind as reference points. I have found that i can estimate distances quite accurately to within about 4 to 5 metres out to sa

Hi Sib pal , I think these opinions are voiced by experts to be on the safe side so people dont see them as cruel and inhumane when a shot wounds. I have wounded vermin by mistake at 15 metres and probably 100% of readers on here have done the same thing sometime in their shooting career. Its sad but a fact of life and all part of learning the skill. A sub 12 FP rifle will defo kill if its a head of heart shot out to 55 metres no problems. It only takes a few FP to piece the heart or brain and at 55 metres and there is still be 4 or 5 FP of energy left at that range. You onl

If you are going to shoot vermin then it needs to be the range at which you estimate you can honestly get a clean humane kill and then work from there pal . If you are pretty new to shooting with a air rifle you should zero at your max range and then only shoot to that for a while until you progress with your shooting. This way you will only have to wory about maybe a max of 1/2 inch hold under in .177 calibre over your full trajectory. Im not too sure as i shoot .22 calibre pal. Zini

Hi guys, I got up bright and early this morning intending walking the dog and taking along the HW100KT with me just in case. I got dressed and then looked out the kids bedroom window onto the woods where I now have permission to shoot . I couldn’t believe my eyes as there sat in the fir trees at range was a crow and magpie . I opened up my gun safe and grabbed the first rifle which was the HW100KT anyway. The GunTuff laser confirmed that the magpie was at 46 metres and the crow in a different tree out of range at 75 metres . I quietly opened the bedroom window

I used to use open sights as a lad mate but always use a scope now. My 3-12x44 Nikko Stirling has no problem at close range at all so i dont ever need open anymore. Even my Tasco 6-24x50 will pick up targets ok at 10 metres. There is nothing wrong with using open sights though pal and i cant fault you for using them. Zini

Nope not really Sib I know that i wont get a kill for a week while im in Germany so i need to make the most of it while i can. A week without a kill for me is like a week without a drink to a alcoholic Zini
