  1. No Craig defo not mate. It was just to see if anyone really bit that I said the Spectre could compete against a pcp.
  2. Really Davy? Thats good news.
  3. Archie when someone sponsors you and their equipment is quality whats wrong with plugging it? There would be alot of members on here that wouldnt be so happy with their springers if it wasnt for plugging. I dont want this to turn in to a THL slating thread. You have had your say and ive answered with mine.
  4. Yes of course. The more the merrier.
  5. Viva la springer revolution.
  6. 0945 hrs Simon. Trying to get Porkybella and The Mawd Meister to come too. The more the merrier.
  7. With how the Spectres shot today they could compete against a pcp for accuracy.
  8. My HW98 is doing 9.35 FPE and its pretty accurate.
  9. I find shooting a springer much more rewarding. Me and Davy both have been out this morning shooting our Spectres and they performed as good as any hunting pcp. We got 10 corvids and 3 pigeons. Davy got a 54 yard jackdaw straight in the brain in a wind and I got a kneeling un supported woody in a wind at 60 meters in the head. Both were with springers. The satisfaction from our practice is far better than with any pcp.
  10. Its a Guntuff laser range finder from JS Ramsbottom.
  11. Good rifles so im told. Very accurate and are fitted with one of (probably the best) trigger on any mass factory produced springer.
  12. Lol thats true mate. Your a demon shot after a sneaky half.
  13. All the guns you have mentioned are great rifles mate. The HW100 will have the biggest shot count I would imagine followed by the AA then the SE. Accuracy wise there will be nothing in it.
  14. Nice shot Skot. I bet that crow wished it made a better choice about the tree it landed in. I bet is felt good to see the springer earning its keep like that. Well in mate.
  15. yes! they will be a Air rifle darts comp, for spring rifle & PCP Yes and ill be keeping my title mr T.
  16. Sorry Paul, but its Davy's idea to do it just as much as mine (so blame old porno chops as well) . . Best advice is to watch them when you get home from work and then go to bed at a normal time . Si.
  17. Thanks lads for your confidence in me and Davy, its appreciated, but as Davy rightly says, the person that you want to listen to is Simon (Pianoman). He is the man when it comes to springer shooting and i would say is probably the font of knowledge of the guys i know anyway. Me and Davy just enjoy shooting a springer and are trying to improve each time we shoot springers as are many others too. From meeting the amount of lads that i have in person over the past 3 years from this forum I would say that there are many really good springer shooter in this section. A lot of experience
  18. Brilliant bags there mate. Thats a fine permission you have there. What AA rifle are you using? What you do with all the shot ones, selling them to the butcher? £1 a bunny is a good pay day. Si.
  19. What a result mate. Good shooting too Mac. A meal from nature. Hope your scope gets fixed soon buddy.
  20. For the sweet spot fill it to between 190 and 200 bar mate. Your good for 30 shots then in .177 and probably 35 in .22. 232 bar will give you another 8 to 10 shots but not as power consistent as the 30 at 200 bar. If your just using it for plinking or vermin control at close range, out to 15/20 meters 232 bar will be spot on.
  21. Yes Lewis, your right in the action and internals the same but the 98 is a whole different beast when it fires due to the stock, barrel shroud and weight. The whole firing cycle is different and the 98 isn't as hold sensitive as the Spectre. The Spectre shoots with deadly accuracy and will match a pcp but you really need to know how to shoot it without imparting too much weight onto its cheek piece. If you press too hard on it the pellet goes anywhere but the target, but if you master the lighter hold and touch it will single hole at silly ranges. An example is today. Ive been shooting
  22. Thanks everyone for the comments about the rifle . In all fairness its much more accurate that i could ever shoot it . I'm 100% sure that on a windless day the HW98 would also be able to hit the bottom of a .22 rim fire case quite consistently Elliott bud. Maybe not with me shooting it, as i think the bottom of a case at that range would be pushing my skill limits a little too much at the moment, but with a better shot than me I'm sure it could be done easily enough What I did do yesterday though with Phil witnessing it, but sadly we didn't film it being done was to shoot a 5 sh
  23. In this episode of VHTV we are showing part 2 of the rat shooting session me and Davy had when we got invited to shoot with KPS Hunters. Please enjoy Si & Davy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1wVN8qxyIo&feature=youtu.be
