If Davy is sober non of us have to worry about him, but if hes p ssed we are all going to get hammered for sure . Never met a bloke that shoots so well p ssed.
-
Cheers Mick, Im trying to find a pellet that cuts the edges of the paper a bit neater
-
Bless Nigel. If you shoot like you did at Davy's club when we had that little 3 way comp, you stand a great chance of winning mate.
-
Give it 500 shots through its barrel mate and then it will be at its best. Deadly accurate. Si.

Round 2 on Sunday the beast will be coming out to play Nigel, no worries mate . Lets hope that your AA S400 doesn't end up getting 98-ed or you may be going home with egg on your chin .

SFS S1 tuned HW98

Shot this 3 shot group tonight at 25 meters when zeroing ready for Sundays HFT with the HW98. Luckily I had a witness watching me shoot the group as so I'm told this sort of group is impossible with a springer . Not bad hey lads for a springer . Si.

I forgot its now 6- 4 up to you partner and not 6- 3 as you didn't turn up 2 weeks ago so me and Aaron talked about it and decided I should have a extra point. Being in Florida is no excuse I'm afraid . So we could be all level on Sunday once the HW98 runs wild all over you and your TX

Davy you been drinking? No bonus round for you as I know you're been shooting in Florida, naughty boy . Its your chance this partner to go from 6-3 up to 8 - 3 up or my chance to close the gap a wee bit . Si.

Ive made the round 2 score cards today in my dinner break and the official score sheet. Come on lads and lasses get your name down. Money to be won.
-
Turn up Roger and do your THANGGGG buddy. Would be nice to see you there again. Si.

For £500 you can get a really nice second hand (normally high priced) air rifle buddy. or Like you have mentioned a new BSA Ultra MMC / SE model. The Ultra is a really handy rifle, light and very pointable with accuracy to match some of the best. The only thing lets it down slightly is if you want a high shot count per fill. To be honest mate I zero with mine then refill. 35 shots in .177 is ample for a normal 30 target HFT course. For hunting 35 shots is plenty and more unless your permission is a rabbit or rat Valhalla permission. If you want accuracy then this rifle

Welcome back Davy . It will be nice to see you again buddy . So who's attending then on Sunday at ODP? Shall we make it an official event for the airgun members in this section? Say meet at 0945 hrs or before if you can make it at the zero range at ODP. 2 rounds of HFT total as part as the competition. First round Is with your best pcp (the one you shoot the most accurate) or your springer / gas ram if you don't own a pcp, starting at 1045 hrs at the pegs. Second round is with your best springer, or with your best pcp again if you don't own a springer / recoil
-
Yes count me in. £5 winner takes all. What we using springers or pcps? Its either the Ultra SE or the HW98
-
I think you have 2 of the best all rounders out there VM. Ive got a 100 and a Ultra and accuracy wise I would find it hard to split them. A lot of people will think its a exaggeration but its not. The BSA Ultra SE is rifle that will compete with the top end pcps.
-
Awesome freezer of meat there Mac and a nice mixed bag too.
-
Awesome bag mate.
-
Both are under 12 foot pounds. The Ultra is under 11 in actual fact. Why do you ask mate?
-
Thanks Mac. Yes it will be nice to have the old man back. Si.
-
Brilliant mate. Glad you found the right pellet.
-
Its good that the Airgun BBS are so busy with the Grahams. Stops them moaning about long range shooting and people being a bad ambassador to the airgun sport lol. Got to be a bonus that hey Buster. Wink wink.
-
Yeah I know your right Davy . HFT is a big game really and being good at it depends on how well you can range estimate as well as sometimes shoot in the wind from a awkward stretched out body position. In reality you would not opt to ever take a shot on vermin with a scope that's badly parallaxed and out of focus, with a none accurate known range, especially in .22, and from a position where your not comfy and your body is stretched to the max. Si.

The top ones I can think about are as follows: BSA Ultra SE - It will match a rifle 3 or 4 times its price tag NO PROBLEM with the right pellet. The only thing that I would say lets it down is the shite BSA magazine as its very pellet fussy. Falcon Light Hunter Brocock Contour
-
Im hoping so Gary fingers crossed. Im just trying to practice as much as I can. Theres no chance of coming within the top 10 due to the quality of HFT shooter attending but ill be happy if I come over half way up in the .22 score board.

Got to many mate.
