got a call yesterday from a local keeper,who told me the tennant farmers were moaning about the wild turkeys and guniea fowl left over from the shooting season,and would i go with my .17 hmr and sort it out for him.
we had 2500 acres to search,and within the hour we found them 3 turkeys and about 20 guinea fowl.
first 3 shots sorted the big fellas out and then we took just 3 of the guinea fowl out.
the keeper wanted to keep the remaining fowl.
didnt realise just how big these turkeys were,must be 3 foot tall at least, and close on 20lb
just finished eating mine and boy was it nice really
